Well darn. Maybe the drops will mover closer together before much longer. Y’all need more than a sprinkle!

We do too. After a VERY hot week, we got a tenth of an inch of rain yesterday. Next week is going to be even hotter and no rain expected. The corn is stressed bad. Leaves are standing straight up, desperate for water. :-(

THANKS KATHY, SORRY TO BE SO LATE, BUT A FRIEND CALLED FROM THE OLD SOLDIER’S HOME AND INVITED ME TO JOIN HIM DROPPING SOME ROCKS OFF OF A NEARBY OVERPASS.

Happy Lords Day, Father’s Day, and Shavuah Tov, to You, and All!

Your efforts, and dedication, and those of so many others here, on behalf of our Military and Veterans, and the Military and Veterans of our Allies, is G-D’s Work and much appreciated.

KOHL HA KAVOD! That’s Hebrew for “ALL THE HONOR (BE UNTO YOU)” That’s a BIG DEAL saying in Israel. TO ALL OF YOU! YOU’VE ALL EARNED IT...G-D BLESS YOU ALL!

Hey, there, radu!

We got the all-clear at about 2:30pm today. We’ve both had REAL baths/showers and my hair is nice and clean. It’s a relief to be back to “normal”.

Hope your weekend at the museum went well and that you had some interesting and fun visitors!

Good evening, Pro, and a Blessed Lord's Day to you and yours.

What a beautiful tribute to your Dad on this Father's Day.

We thank both of you for your service to our country.

What little you’ve told us of your dad is enough to see why you so honor his memory. He more than deserves it. May the Lord Almighty Rest Your Father’s Soul, and Honor and Cherish him even more than You do.

G-D BLESS.

Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.

Did you have a good day at the museum? Tired feet?

Practically no ducks for the last few days. No momma for 2 days, but she and her six have come several times yesterday and today. And only a couple females and a male every now and then have come.

YAY! At long last! Bet you feel like a new woman now that you’re spiffy clean head to toe. Ooooooh, what a feeling!

It was a good weekend at the museum. Busy today and I’m limp tonight. LOL
A friend who moved to CA a few years ago is here to visit with a gentleman who was his neighbor when he lived here. He comes back every year to help the neighbor out around his farm. The neighbor is a WWII vet and Gary took him to the museum last year when he was in town. They showed up today. It was great to see both of them but I didn’t get to talk to them much because I was in the middle of giving a tour.

Late in the afternoon, I had just finished a tour and was talking to a couple of other people who work there when I tuned around and saw a man standing there with a big smile on his face. I’d met him at the Post Office yesterday after work. He was wearing a Korea/Vietnam cap so I struck up a conversation with him and told him about the museum. Today, he showed up with one of his sons who served in the Marine Corps.
This Korea/Vietnam veteran served a few years in the Navy, then a few years in the Marine Corps, and after that was in the Air Force for 14 years. He had a LOT of tales to tell, both yesterday and today. He was a lot of fun.

It must lift your heart right out of your body when you get to show the museum to people like the vets who appreciate all those things so much....and have great stories of their own that you can store away to use another time. I’ll bet that Korea/Vietnam vet wasn’t the only one with a big smile on their face! :)

Hey there, Kathy.

Yes, it was a good day at the museum. Just told luvie all about it in post 28.
Whole body is tired tonight - not just the feetsies. LOL

The ducks must have found a spot with plenty to eat lately. I’m glad Momma brought her six young ‘uns by so you’d know all are still safe and sound. By now, they must be almost as large as Momma. They’re growing fast!

Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today's sustenance for body and soul.

Happy Father's Day! Did you have kids and grands over to enjoy your day?

And a Blessed Lord's Day to you and yours.

The reason he was grinning was because he knew I'd be surprised to see him there today. Yesterday, he said he and his son would be mowing his property all day today so they wouldn't be able to head to the museum until another time. He grinned and said they mowed extra-fast so they could make it today. He's a real character and cutting up with him was a lot of fun.

Yes, I do enjoy going through with veterans and watching their reactions to some of the rare pieces we have, like the prototypes. The collection of extra-light Jeeps gets most of them because most didn't know they even existed. A few knew but never thought they'd get to see them in person.

Mainly, they enjoy seeing so many things being preserved regarding military history. It's why they, like the rest of us, enjoy museums like this. Seeing their pleasure is one of the reasons I enjoy being a part of the museum.

Well, I know they enjoyed the tour as much as you did being the guide! Those are some cool jeeps and the restoration of them is done with love and a sense of history.

Well they just need to get their act together and do better than that! LOL
Gotta say it doesn’t look very impressive on the cam. They didn’t get much at the airport - - the pavement is already dry. :-(

I always hope they enjoy the tours. The aim is to please, and that goes for all of us.

Yes, the extra-lights are really cool little jeeps. And rare. Only two of the Chevrolets were built and we have serial #1. #2 is in a private collection so not available for the public to see.

Wow! Those really are rare! No wonder they keep them under wraps, as it were.

Well, I guess I’d better finish this movie I’m watching and head out. 7:30am comes mighty early as you well know. :) See ya tomorrow! Glad you had a great weekend!

Yes, they are rare. There are several rare prototypes scattered through the museum but that collection of the four is our “crown jewel”.

Get some good sleep so your alarm clock has a good chance for survival in the morning. LOL
