Dr. Simone Gold, a Beverly Hills woman known for spreading debunked claims about Covid-19 was sentenced on Thursday to 60 days in prison for illegally entering and remaining in the US Capitol during the January 6 insurrection.
Gold, founder of the group America’s Frontline Doctors, was also ordered to pay a $9,500 fine – the largest fine imposed to date among the almost 200 rioters who have been sentenced.
“Your organization is leaving people with the misimpression that this is a political prosecution or that it’s about free speech,” district Judge Christopher Cooper said as he imposed the sentence, slamming America’s Frontline Doctors fundraising efforts that call January 6 “political persecution.”
Cooper called the fundraising efforts, which have raised more than $400,000, “unseemly” and a “disservice to the true victims that day.”
“It ain’t about free speech,” Cooper added. “January 6 was about a lot of things, but it wasn’t about free speech or Covid vaccinations… the only reason you are here is where and when and how you chose to express your views.”
Gold spoke at the January 5 Stop the Steal rally the day before the riot, telling the crowd that “if you don’t want to take an experimental biological agent deceptively named a vaccine, you must not allow yourself to be coerced!”
The next day, according to prosecutors, she and her co-defendant John Strand joined a group of rioters who pushed past a group of officers attempting to stop the mob from breaching the Capitol. Once inside, Gold spoke through a megaphone to a crowd gathered in Statuary Hall.
Strand has pleaded not guilty.
In 2020, Gold made headlines after appearing in a viral video – which then-President Donald Trump retweeted – that was later removed from numerous social media sites for Covid misinformation.

Political scare tactics!
The Constitutional Republic of the United States of America is no more. It died November 2029 when the Democrat Party with the cooperation of the Republican Party executed a Coup and ousted the legally elect Donald J. Trump from Office. And replaced him with Lying Joe Biden.
Where is the Republican Party?
It’s not illegal if they invite you in and even open the door!
And I might add, “ PROVE HER WRONG”, you SOBs!
Has she already been in custody for over a year???
That man looks as straight as Bill Clinton’s reputed private part.
Do not look at the Republicans. Look for the conservatives. And notice that the good ones are overwhelmed and the rest sit like stumps.
Conservatives are keyboard warriors but little else.
I think your first instincts were right. He is probably a Todd Chrisley type.

REMINDER: Judge in Sussmann Trial is Married to Lisa Page’s Lawyer
Just a brief reminder as you review the decisions in the pre-trial motions for the case against Clinton Lawyer Michael Sussmann.
It is worth remembering that Judge Christopher Cooper is married to Amy Jeffries, Lisa Page’s lawyer.
Additionally, Judge Cooper and Michael Sussmann both worked in the DOJ together. When he was selected as judge in the Sussmann trial, Cooper revealed the potential conflict of interest in the event the Durham prosecution wanted him to recuse himself from the case. Special Prosecutor John Durham did not ask Judge Cooper to recuse himself.
September 2021 – The judge in the case of recently indicted Democratic lawyer Michael Sussmann is married to the lawyer who represented a disgraced former FBI official that worked on the Donald Trump Russia probe that Sussmann played some role in advancing.
U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper of the District of Columbia, who is presiding over the Sussmann case, is married to lawyer Amy Jeffress, who represented FBI lawyer Lisa Page in a civil case.
Cooper, an Obama-appointee, and Jeffress, a former top aide to Attorney General Eric Holder, are well connected in the Democratic party. Current Attorney General Merrick Garland even presided over their 1999 wedding.

How dare she wantonly spread the truth!
2024. We really have to drain this swamp to the very last one.
No. She was able to post bail after being arrested. Just a guess, she is probably out $500K in legal fees and still has to do 60 days in jail for some bad judgement.
She told the truth about COVID. That was her real offense.
Four things bother me about that day.
1. ANTIFA is never mentioned, although they were there and
they are the ones who breached the entrance.
2. People were being let in other entrances to the Capital
Building, with not a hint of concern.
3. The people who have been arrested have been denied their
Constitutional rights and have been held in conditions that
not only contradict psychological recommendations, but are
also filthy. These people are treated like animals.
4. This judge along others (perhaps that’s wrong) continues
to overlook these things.
This is along the lines of what we saw the USSR leadership
do. It’s not what we should be doing.
