If children with gender dysphoria grow out of it, the "transgender health professionals" make less money. I bet a much larger fraction of Democratic than Republican parents have children who go down the genital mutilation path. This would be an interesting study. How do the rates of genital mutilation differ by state? Conservative parents, I hope, are less likely to go along with the destruction of their children.

These “transgender” adolescents can only be transformed from a male into a neuter, or a female into a neuter. No successful full transformation of a male into a female, or a female into a male, has ever been done in the annals of medicine, and it never shall be. There is no way to change the chromosome pairs XY into XX, short of perhaps divine intervention, and I do not believe that is a plan of of any deity in known human religions.

I am acquainted with some conservative parents who are at the mercy of the system. Their now sophomore in college has started hormone treatment against their wishes. He fell in with a trans group at college, and came home freshman year wanting to transition. A 45-minute consultation with a “gender-affirming” doctor was all that was needed for the go ahead. Legally he’s an adult. They are heartbroken.
