I am acquainted with some conservative parents who are at the mercy of the system. Their now sophomore in college has started hormone treatment against their wishes. He fell in with a trans group at college, and came home freshman year wanting to transition. A 45-minute consultation with a “gender-affirming” doctor was all that was needed for the go ahead. Legally he’s an adult. They are heartbroken.
How come there are only two genders to choose from when transitioning? I thought there are 57 or something like that. So why only two to choose from?
