Europe used to be mostly energy-independent, because every country had lots of nuclear power plants
but they were clean and emitted no greenhouse gases, so the environmentalists were pissed
then Fukushima happened (2011) ... and the radical enviro kooks managed to scare all the Euro govt’s into thinking it could happen there too ... so the idiots got rid of their nuclear power plants
hey, Russia could be trusted, right? ...
For once I support Russia. It’s their gas and it’s their country. They can do what they want.
Now if only they’d feel the same about everyone else.
I remember President Trump addressing the UN about this very thing, as the German delegation was snickering. Well, who’s snickering now? Stupid krauts.
Germany made it a political/geopolitical issue. Then they refused to allow return of the turbines sent for repair by using sanctions. Maybe Germany should donate some infrastructure equipment to enable normal use, wear and tear.
Germany gets today’s Green weenie award.
