Reduced Russian gas flow is political, German official says
The Washington Times ^ | June 15, 2022

Russia’s announcement that it would reduce natural gas flows through a key European pipeline by roughly 40% appears to be a political move rather than a result of technical problems, Germany’s vice chancellor said Wednesday.

Russia’s state-controlled energy giant Gazprom also told Italian gas giant Eni that it would reduce gas through a different pipeline by roughly 15% on Wednesday. The reason for the reduction has not been made clear, and the Italian company said it was monitoring the situation.

The reduced flows follow Russia’s halt of natural gas supplies to Bulgaria, Poland, Finland, Netherlands, Denmark as Europe works to reduce its dependence on Russian energy amid the war in Ukraine.

Blockhead Germans. Send weapons to kill Russian soldiers, cut them off from SWIFT, close off all Russian branches of businesses, kill Nordstream II, refuse to return pipeline compressors sent to Germany for maintenance, .....

..and then act shocked and say it’s political when Russia slow walks selling them the one thing they decide they want to buy.

Amazing look into the WEF/DC/EU mentality. “We will sanction you in every way we can think of, but we expect you to race to fill any need it would be too painful for us to sanction.”

Of course it is political. Olaf imposed political sanctions on Siemens, preventing the return of fixed turbine.

And the sanctions, are they political?

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.
Maybe if Germany stops supplying Ukraine with weapons, they will turn the flow back up?

By demonstrating whose hand is on the faucet, Russia is also making a statement as to who is in control. And it’s not Biden or NATO.

This is super interesting. What this suggests to me is eventually many European countries are going to throw troublemaking Americans out of Europe. And they know it.

Maybe Germany shouldn’t have started a sanction war with Russia. Whining because they are getting the worst end of it is laughable.

Siemens (Germany company) owes a contractual obligation to service gast turbines that pump the gas. Siemens is in default on its obligation to perform maintenance, so the turbines were taken offline. The maintenance is supposed to take place in Montreal Canada. The refusal to perform the maintenance is due to Canadian sanctions. So Canada is sanctioning Germany.
