Thanks!
Flores still has 300 vote margin to avoid runoff. Jim Wells County is the only place with a meaningful number of votes left to count and Flores is getting 52% in Jim Wells County.
Via Twitter, Dave Wasserman from Cook has “seen enough” and says Flores wins.
Of course, he also notes this election is in the “old” district which was Biden +4. The new TX-34 that will be contested in November is Biden +15, and they score it a “Lean D.”
I was mocking the dominion voting machines and their ability to make democrats come from behind miraculously
Jim Wells County is done. The 300 vote margin is going to hold. No runoff.
Not to be picky but Juan Seguin did not die at the Alamo
Except they don’t.
Trump won historic margins on dominion machines. That big vote spike in Wisconsin that put Biden over the top? Those were mail in paper ballots. Milwaukee doesn’t use Dominion machines.
She should declare victory now. This waiting is getting to be too long.
Huh?
Total votes counted is just under 29,000, with 99% of votes counted so far, so where the heck did you get 10,000 more “votes to count” from?
You've been a busy little fella spreading Dem disinformation on this thread ain't ya?
all old Texas families no doubt

In Texas? Why yes.
Poltico just posted 99% of expected votes in.
It’s over with Flores at 51%.
Congrats, friends. A beautiful Latina who can win.
Sorry, but Juan Seguin did not perish at the Alamo.
Mayra Flores 14,780 +51.0%
Dan Sanchez 12,560 +43.3%

He didn’t just win “one.”
The data doesn’t support the dominion canard that so many doomers have been peddling.
Trump netted more than 16k more votes over Biden than he had over Hillary across the counties that used dominion machines in Wisconsin.
The only two counties with really big overperformances in Wisconsin were Dane and Milwaukee. Neither uses dominion machines.
Tonight’s vote had the same pattern that we’ve been seeing since 2020. The Election Day machine vote is magnitudes of order more Republican than the early mail in vote.
At the least, a 7% flip, at the most, a 20% one.
Still quite good, but we need GOP leadership on TV talking about the Fed and the DNC’s failures everyday. It’s not Putin. It’s not monkeypox. It’s overspending.
Good link. Flores is over 50% with 100% counted??
Bkmk
Cameron County is not "The South". What you are seeing in not the result of the abandonment of the Jim Crow Democrat Party. This is a new phenomenon. Cameron County is the Borderlands. You're seeing the beginning of the shift of Hispanic voters away from the Democrat Party likely caused by the failure of Democrat's immigration policy that impacts RGV counties more than anywhere else in Texas.
Good news.
