Just love knowing that the DC jails are filled with hundreds of political prisoners that Trump could have pardoned. Even now, he could bankroll their defenses. But everyone is screaming and hollering that Sen. Cruz isn’t doing enough. Sometimes being the biggest, loudest mouth isn’t helpful. Cruz did what his objective was: demonstrate that Epps was and agent of the FBI, one of many. He is not President. Trump was.
Even the KGB has some accountability. Time to dismantle these organizations completely and let them go work in the Communist Paradises they prefer.
Make her take a lie detector test. Make her squirm.

If these are the answers that Congress gets, then there is no Congressional oversight of the FBI. Nor any Executive oversight either, since they can investigate a sitting President without his knowledge.

The only reason the FBI has not to say “no” to all of that is that the answer is “yes” and they’re hiding the confidential nature of political tampering behind the confidential nature of covert law enforcement. A House oversight panel won’t suffer from that cheap ploy, which is why Deep State will do everything in its considerable power to see that such an investigation will be controlled and the panel populated by safe members.
They NEVER know anything that would incriminate them. How convenient?
Shriner parade clowns have far more credibility than the FBI and the Justice Department under our Kleptocrat-in-Chief. Anyone who has read Howie Carr’s “The Brothers Bulger” and learns how Whitey Bulger’s FBI “handlers” were manipulated [manus is hand in Latin, by the way!] and bribed by Whitey whom they knew to be a vicious murderer but still defended as a “valuable source.”
Pres Trump was straight up told that if he did such a mass pardon it would never happen. DOJ would refuse to process it and even if he got on TV and said it it would not happen and there would be another fake impeachment uproar. He realized he had neither the time or willing resources to do a pardon that would happen.
At least he asked. And he asked directly. The fact that the FBI refuses to answer should speak volumes.
The FBI is a criminal organization. Not a single person who works for the FBI is innocent. They ALL know and participate with the crimes and coverups.
The only way these agencies can be stopped is to take away their money.

That’s so stupid it makes my blood boil. This is not like conducting an investigation or choosing to prosecute someone. DOJ has no say, “anonymous sources” in Politico notwithstanding.
Why can’t Rubio and Grahame, who are on the Gang of 8, demand these answers from Wray, in writing? IIRC Cruz’s questions were during a hearing about another topic to an underling — that allows her non-answers to be dismissed by those who want to dismiss them. It is outrageous that the agency likely to have engineered the riot to be allowed to dodge answering. May November bring changes to that situation.

“The next day, the next day on January 6th, Mr. Epps is seen whispering to a person,” Cruz went on. “And five seconds later, five seconds after he is whispering to a person, that same person begins to forcibly tear down the barricades. Did Mr. Epps urge them to tear down the barricades.”
“Sir,” the FBI official replied. “Similar to the other answers, I cannot answer that.”

Stupid or not DJT was faced with a government organization that would not execute any significant presidential directive after Jan 6. It is is that simple. Everybody knew he would be gone in a matter of days and he had no effective power. I hope those who perpetrated this live to fully enjoy Joe Biden in the waning days of his administration.
They weren’t in prison when Trump was President. That happened under BIDEN. When Trump was President nobody was worrying about prison sentences for trespassing.
I am starting to like Canadian Cruz again.
