Where the heck are crab fishermen? I was in construction for years and there is no way that was as dangerous as crab fishing.

They changed the rules for the crab fishermen back in 2006 and since then it has slid down the list dramatically.
Most of the "deadly" part of the job was caused by government regulation.
They changed the rules and while they are taking in more crabs they are doing it over a longer period of time and the number of crabs is actually increasing.
It is really interesting. It went from over seven deaths a year to one death in six years.

I noticed they were absent, too, as are all forms of oilfield work. I also noticed supervisors in more danger than people actually doing the work...?
What's a 'farming supervisor', anyway? IIRC, it was the farmers who were getting hurt.
