I noticed they were absent, too, as are all forms of oilfield work. I also noticed supervisors in more danger than people actually doing the work...?

What's a 'farming supervisor', anyway? IIRC, it was the farmers who were getting hurt.

Yeah, I noticed four distinctions of construction workers.

Helpers. Most dangerous.
Supervisors. 2nd most dangerous.
Construction workers. 3rd. (just generic “workers?”)
Construction equipment operators. 4th most dangerous. (seems like a different category altogether frankly)

I get helpers having the most accidents. Helpers are new guys and don’t know the ropes. Although my first boss in carpentry told me it was guys who had been carpenters for 3 or 4 years who were most likely to get seriously hurt.

I never had a major injury but I found his POV to be correct in my case. By my 3rd year I knew enough to really get cooking but not enough to know the limits of pushing hard.

Saw the same thing in others at that stage of the game.

I can’t explain supervisors being 2nd but I didn’t work on industrial scale projects that have supervisors.
