Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D) Sunday on MSNBC’s “Symone” invited President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to join her on the campaign trail.
Host Symone Sanders said, “Can we expect to see the president and vice president join you on the trail closer to November?”
Abrams said, “We invite anyone who wants to see Georgia move forward to come here, and that means President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. But what we’re talking about are the needs of the state of Georgia.
She continued, “Just today, we announced that we intend to raced teacher pay. The base pay starts at $50,000 by 2026. This means that Georgia will finally be in the top ten of states in terms of pay. Right now, we are behind of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. We are below Mississippi, who just raised their pay to $41,500. Georgia is only at $39,092, and that’s after a pay raise because Republicans have actually shorted Georgia teachers by thousands of dollars of the last 20 years. I intend to make certain that Georgia pays our teachers to keep them in the classroom. We know across this country that teachers are leaving in droves. That 55% of teachers are thinking of leaving classrooms. In Georgia, it is 31%. They need pay, and we need to deliver it.”
Sanders said, “So the president, vice president are welcome to come, but you are focused on Georgia, is when I’m hearing.”

😂😂😂😂😂 Great idea there gov. Re($)elections are hard. 😂😂😂
Great campaign slogan. 🤣
I think she was trying to distance herself and she even mocked him in a couple of her public appearances HOWEVER, I’d wager that she sees herself falling behind in the polls and unable to gin up any sort of meaningful ballot harvesting operation because of the scrutiny. She probably figures that the clout of the office of the POTUS is better than nothing. That’s my .02 cents worth.
We do that in NevaDUH. Vegas and Reno have about 75% of the votes so.......... Mrs rktman thinks one county=1 vote in the final tally based on who wins the county.
And Trump will not be campaigning for Kemp.
People used to tell me that Atlanta would “stay in Atlanta” and not have any effect on the voting patterns of the remainder of the state. I told them they were wrong because after the Dems ruined Atlanta they would spread out and take over the surrounding counties. I was right. Cobb, Dekalb and Gwinnett counties used to be red counties. Cobb and Dekalb are now blue and Gwinnett counties will be solidly blue soon. Previously, the cheating was just in Fulton County (Atlanta). Now it too is spreading to surrounding counties.
These people honestly believe that ideas from academia can be used to manage a country. Remember when Obama used that educated idiot from MIT (Jonathan Gruber) to design and implement Obamacare.
What a bunch of nincompoops.
As an aside, the reason large cities are mostly liberal is that big-city voters are like ivory tower idealists in that they are detached from the practical side of life. For the most part, they don't actually know where the food on their table comes from (some of them actually think pasta grows on trees).
Inflation is hitting Atlanta pretty much the hardest in the nation. Let’s raise teacher’s (and everyone else’s pay) so that inflation can continue to go up. These people do not realize if you raise wages, prices of goods go up as well.
I believe a requisite for running for a political office is that you should have to have owned and successfully managed a business for a minimum of seven years.
Shows how confident she is.
“For the most part, they don’t actually know where the food on their table comes from (some of them actually think pasta grows on trees).”
Exactly right. Living in the city detaches the family from the land - and after two or three generations things get turned upside down.
Carbon dioxide, for example, becomes a toxic substance. Work is thought of as punishment to be avoided. Everything is supposed to be play, play, play.
I hope. Bring it.
Georgians, you can place blame squarely on your governor and secretary of state.
She is not campaigning. Has no need to
A vegetable, a hooker and a hippopotamus walk into a bar.
Bar tender asks the hooker, who is the vegetable? Hooker says Joementia.
Bar tender says, okay and then asks, who is the hippo?
Hooker says, I don’t know, but she takes up a lot of space and can eat an ear of corn through a picket fence.

This is like asking Lucrezia Borgia and Jeffrey Dahmer to cater your next dinner party.
Results will be fun!

A wimp and a blimp...
“The kiss of death for those 2 to showup.”
That is what I am thinking. Her internal polling must show her way behind in order to invite those two to campaign for you.
