COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — NATO-member Norway terminated its two-decade-old contract with a France-based manufacturer for 14 maritime helicopters, citing delays, errors and time-consuming maintenance, the defense minister said Friday, calling the move “a serious decision.”
The Norwegian government will return the NH90 helicopters it has received so far and expects a full refund of the nearly 5 billion kroner ($525 million) it paid, according to Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.

20 years to deliver 14 helicopters? My only question is why did it take so long for Norway to figure this out?
SiKorski raises a hand and clears its throat
Hahaha
No refunds.
Lots of lawyer fees
Till everyone wants to forget
Good luck getting your money back.......
If only they had put in 10% for the big guy, he could have smoothed it over.
Sikorsky, or Augsta or Bell. Or there are always the Russians
“expects a full refund of the nearly 5 billion kroner”
“And we don’t want the coins with the hole in the middle!”
Pay them back in Rubles.

20 years to deliver 8 helicopters?.
Agusta was absorbed by NHIndustries.
and Sikorsky by Lockheed Martin ...
vegetable lasagna is an idiot
French defense industry is taking a beating.
LOL!
Um, no?
Agusta merged with Westland in 2000 to form AgustaWestland, which was a subsidiary of Finmeccanica. Finmeccanica renamed themselves to Leonardo SpA and the chopper division is now Leonardo Helicopters.
Where did you get NHIndustries from???
Because the French are good at lying and soothing ruffled feathers. Look at what happened to the only people outside France and Germany to buy their attack chopper, the Eurocopter Tiger. There have been huge problems with it, resulting in delivery delays, readiness delays, groundings, long lead times...

There were more problems than listed in either of those articles, including the fact that they’ve taken the guns off some of them due to major life-safety (read: not safe for the crew or any friendly anywhere nearby) problems. Now that the Australians have finally gotten a handle on the major problems... the type is now out of production. They’re going to buy Apache-Es to replace them.
This is what socialism and a 35 hour work week gets you.
