Donald Trump turned on his daughter Ivanka Trump after her testimony to the committee investigating the January 6th insurrection revealed she didn't think the 2020 presidential election was rigged.
In a 17-second clip of her interview to the committee that was played during Thursday's primetime hearing, Ivanka backs up Trump Attorney General Bill Barr's assertion that the election wasn't stolen from her father.
The former president said on Friday that Ivanka was 'not involved in looking' at the results of the 2020 election.
'Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results. She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as attorney general (he sucked),' Trump wrote on Truth Social, the network he helped establish after he was banned from Twitter.
It was a shocking turn of events. Trump and his daughter were known for their close relationship and she was seen as his favorite child. She served as an adviser in his White House and Trump often said she could be president one day.

Why does everyone think “pencil neck” is such a big insult? Her husband helped Trump win the first time.

How hard would it have been for Ivanka to simply say “ I don’t discuss my family business with anyone, its personal and quite frankly none of your business”

Lots of perfect families out here in Freeper Land it appears. They tried to help The President whenever called, IMHO. I would not have wanted to be in their shoes, so I think they were respectful to DJT, their family and country.

According to Trump’s first wife’s autobiography, Trump wanted to name Ivanka “Tiffany,” but Ivana insisted she be named after herself. (Ivanka is a nickname for Ivana.) When Tiffany was born, Ivana said, “Well, he finally got to name a daughter that.”
Problem 1. Congress has subpoena power and can get a court to put you in prison if you don't cooperate.
Problem 2. She had a government position. What happened wasn't family business, but national business.
Problem 3. Calling what happened in the White House among people drawing government salaries when matters of national concern "family business" would only give more ammunition to those attacking Trump. There are plenty of people out there who want to believe Trump was in it for the money. Why give them more ammo?

How hard would it have been for her to assert her 5th amendment rights and not say a word. She isn’t very smart if she thought she could sit for 8 hours with hostile lawyers and not make horrible mistakes.
Tells me the vaunted CEO businesswoman isn’t actually all that bright.
