Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over a televised hearing by the Jan. 6 Select Committee during a Thursday press conference.
“Nancy Pelosi’s sham committee is illegitimate and its sole purpose is to punish Democrats’ political opponents,” Stefanik said about the committee. “It will not prevent another January 6 from happening. It is not about finding out why Nancy Pelosi left the capital so ill-prepared on that day, and it does absolutely nothing to address the numerous crises Americans are suffering from every single day because of Joe Biden [and] Nancy Pelosi’s radical far-left agenda.”
Many Republicans boycotted the committee after Pelosi barred Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana from serving on the committee. Pelosi appointed Republican Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois to serve on the committee.
Stefanik claimed that Democrats were using the hearing to distract the American people from a list of policy failures and issues they were ignoring

America misses $1.87/gal gas and knows the election was stolen. No number of Pelosi circus clowns are going to change that.
I understand that the Republicans are supposed to appoint the committee members they wanted. And with Pelosi preventing that the Jan 6 commission is illegal.

The House can make its own rules. Doubtful courts would intervene in any way. The previous rules always gave due respect to the opposition because of ‘mutually assured destruction’ or ‘balance of terror’. The majority feared what would happen when they became the minority.
What has happened is Republicans have no will to engage in tit for tat and Dems know it, thus opening the door to a dictatorship of the Democrat Party. Senior Republicans and Republican leadership doesn’t care as long as they get some spoil for themselves and their contributors.
Many agree with that summation.
Most of the Republican we have elected are Assistant Democrats.

What is so sad is that the Dems rule the roost and instead of trying to bring this country together after the Covid, they are continuing on their vendetta against President Trump and using his supporters as hostages. It is not a good look and it keeps the country divided. They are doing this on purpose just because they can and not to get to a real solution and the ability to move on.
