Vladimir Putin has lost two more colonels in Ukraine - including one of Russia's youngest to reach such a high rank - as a video showed a Russian battalion being hit with artillery fire while attempting to rescue a casualty.

Elsewhere, in another blow to the Kremlin's war efforts, a separate video released this week showed Ukrainian bombs destroying a Russian ammo depo in a huge ball of flames. Images released by Kyiv also appeared to show a destroyed Russian unit.

These are the latest examples of Ukraine's forces putting up a fierce resistance against Putin's invading forces. Moscow expected to capture Kyiv within days of invading on February 24, but its forces have instead been drawn into a protracted conflict that has resulted in tens-of-thousands Russian military losses.

Meanwhile, bitter fighting for the eastern city of Severodonetsk continued to rage on Thursday, after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the fate of the whole Donbas region hinges on the 'very fierce' battle.

MORE

The deaths of the two high-ranking military figures mean the Kremlin has seen at least 52 colonels killed during the bloody conflict.

They died again?
Putin is a tyrant, but Ukraine is a crooked dump as well.
They’re also losing if you listen to anyone besides the Daily Mail.

I guess if the same stories get posted over and over again, the Biden bros figure that equals some kind of accumulative casualty count.

This “losing generals and colonels” business is supposed to be a measure of Ukrainian strength? Please. Ukraine is an utterly corrupt country and it rarely loses colonels and generals because their military has a caste system: their officers are not on the front-they’re safe in Kiev and Lvov-they dump their troops on the front and retreat. Russian generals are right in the thick of battle and they sometimes pay the ultimate sacrifice just like privates. Look at the dozens of Ukrainian companies and battalions putting out videos declaring that they refuse to fight because they were abandoned by their commanders at the front. Also look at the Ukrainian Imports of luxury vehicles like Lexus, Mercedes and BMW series 5. They’ve imported 80,000 luxury vehicles using US taxpayer funds since the beginning of the war. Thats listed as “army transportation,” and it’s all going to upper military brass and government officials, not the cannon fodder now fertilizing Donbas.

The prime rule of partisans trying to rid their country of invaders - first take out the officers. They are the conduit through whom the orders by the leader of the invading power are communicated to the troops.

Of course, “fragging” is not to be dismissed. Some soldiers just do not much like their commanders.

Especially, if they think their commanders are trying to get them killed.

Blah, blah, blah, bad Ukraine, yada, yada, yada

American cities are likely as corrupt or perhaps more so. The President Biden is terminally corrupt

——this week showed Ukrainian bombs destroying a Russian ammo depo in a huge ball of flames-—

The video in question was in fact, spectacular. The explosions were humongous. The ammo storage was in Russia, and is the immediate resupply for Russian forces just across the border in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian attackse within Russia are always against military facilities. There can be no legitimate Russian claims of war crimes for attacks within Russia.

Then there are the fires, mostly in Moscow but at other locations as well. Strategically valuable buildings are being set are and totally destroyed. The fires are in government, military offices , and factories producing military weapons.
