As the South Asian/Canadian comedian Russell Peters said: Indians can not resist a deal, and Chinese can not give you a deal.

the free nation of India is buying oil from Russia for a whopping $35 off a barrel and selling it back to us in a hilarious arbitrage scheme. @800K barrels per day, That's $28 million -- per day!
They love Joe Biden!

Economics seems to be the key in collapsing this evil, corrupt empire, so although painful this is ultimately a good thing. Buck up folks, and find a comfy spot on the sofa. Watch the show.

My cousin trades Forex and has nearly tripled his money in a long trade on the ruble vs euro. He thinks it could double again.

because India has threatened to ditch their alliance with America and ally with China if the US dares to sanction them.
This sounds ridiculous - the US isn't going to sanction India, which is far more important in the context of China than it is in the context of Russia. And India is not going to ditch its alliance with the US for any reason, because China is a far bigger threat to India than US sanctions ever will be.

Free market capitalism. Don't blame the Indians. OUR problems (USA and PRC (Politically Repressive Canada)) are HOME BRED! Two of many of these problems, are shown below.

So, contrary to the idea India was selling as its motive - national interest - its deals for discounted Russian oil was really about commercial profits.

They (India) are making deals that benefit their country. Can’t blame them for that.

Good for the Indians. If we are stupid enough to ban oil we deserve what we get. Does anybody know where can get a good deal on a windmill to charge up my $70,000 EV?
This green new deal thing is working out real well. Right?

We “gave” India “permission” to buy “sanctioned” Russian oil?
Amazing. Who the hell writes this drivel?
India flipped us the finger and ordered it in defiance of our wishes.
And Russian oil is not sanctioned. We and the EU and as many friends as we can gather have decided to boycott it (kinda).
We will not let western banking be used to buy Russian oil (mostly).
But Russian oil is not illegal or contraband.

Why when we have all the oil around us that Biden will not us to be allowed to drill for? Why wben the oil he is buying is costing us a small fortune, is Biden refusing to allow drilling. That does nothing for the environment so why is he doing it? It sure looks like he is trying to destroy this country.

When it comes to India doing this, the U.S. still buying Russian oil, African nations buying whatever grain they say they want, etc, didn’t Biden say he supports every country having the right to self-determination?
To: fireman15
Oh, look, the stupidity of the sanctions manifests in yet another predictable way.
End all of the sanctions now.
