Abortion Activist Charged With Threatening to Murder Justice Brett Kavanaugh

A California man who said he was angry that the U.S. Supreme Court may soon overturn Roe v. Wade has been charged with threatening to murder Justice Brett Kavanaugh outside his Maryland home early Wednesday morning.

Heavy reports court records identified the man as Nicholas John Roske, 26, of Simi Valley, California.

Roske was arrested around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday morning near Kavanaugh’s home, according to authorities. Police said he was armed with a pistol, knife, pepper spray, zip ties, a hammer and crowbar, according to USA Today.

Roske allegedly threatened to kill Kavanaugh because he was upset that the justice may overturn Roe this summer and allow states to protect unborn babies from abortion again, according to the criminal complaint.

Here’s more from the report:

Roske is expected to make an initial court appearance later Wednesday in a Maryland federal court where he faces charges of attempted murder of a Supreme Court justice, according to a statement released by the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland, Erek L. Barron.

If convicted, Roske faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison for attempted murder of a United States judge.

Authorities said Roske told them that he decided to kill the Supreme Court justice after “thinking about how to give his life a purpose,” according to court documents.

“Roske further indicated that he had purchased the Glock pistol and other items for the purpose of breaking into the justice’s residence and killing the justice as well as himself,” FBI special agent Ian Montijo said in an affidavit.

Roske also told police he found the justice’s home address online, according to the report.

Days after a leaked draft ruling showed the Supreme Court overturning Roe, the pro-abortion group Ruth Sent Us published the addresses of the conservative justices’ homes online publicly – prompting authorities to increase security for the high court members and their staff.

In mid-May, Justice Samuel Alito, the author of the draft opinion, and his family also were moved from their home to a secure location due to violent threats.

The Biden administration has refused to condemn the doxxing of the justices or the illegal protests outside their homes.

On Wednesday, however, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre did issue a statement condemning the alleged assassination attempt “in the strongest terms.”

“As the president has consistently made clear, public officials—including judges—must be able to do their jobs without concern for their personal safety or that of their families,” deputy White House press secretary Andrew Bates told Fox News earlier in the day. “And any violence, threats of violence, or attempts to intimidate justices have no place in our society.”

However, wide-spread condemnation of the attack from other Democrat leaders was noticeably absent late Wednesday. LifeNews could not find any statements from Vice President Kamala Harris, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the Democratic National Committee or other party leaders about the alleged assassination attempt.

Others noticed, too.

“Are there lots of tweets from the Left condemning assassination attempt against Justice Kavanaugh?” wrote Ed Whelan, of National Review and the Ethics and Public Policy Center. “I’m sure not seeing them, but perhaps they’re not ending up in my Twitter feed.”

No one cited any examples in response to Whelan’s request.

Earlier Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler, a pro-life Republican from Missouri, reminded Americans that U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, a pro-abortion Democrat, threatened Kavanaugh by name a few years ago if he dared to overturn Roe.

“Senator Schumer told Justice Kavanaugh that he will ‘pay the price’ for decisions Democrats don’t like,” Hartzler wrote on Twitter. “And he is leading the Senate? Reprehensible.”

LifeNews reported last week about the leftist pro-abortion group Shut Down D.C., which plans to blockade the streets around the Supreme Court building June 13 in an attempt to shut it down.

A report from the Department of Homeland Security in mid-May warned that radical abortion activists plan to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their law clerks if the court overturns Roe. The report indicates these pro-abortion extremists also plan to target churches and other places of worship with violence and vandalism.

At least three pro-life organizations have been the victims of arson in recent weeks, and there have been dozens of acts of vandalism, assaults and threats against pro-lifers and churches.

Some pro-abortion groups have been calling for churches, especially Catholic Churches, to be the target of abortion activists’ outrage.

“The leaked draft memo that states the Supreme Court has struck down #RoeVWade is an ATROCITY but It is not yet law & doesn’t have to be, but what they plan to do & will do if WE don’t stop them. Rise up! & RAISE HELL!” the group Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights wrote on Twitter.

Even prominent pro-abortion groups are using words that hint at possible insurrection and violence. On Twitter, Rachel O’Leary Carmona, executive director of Women’s March, said abortion activists will be “ungovernable” until the government legalizes abortion on demand.

The Supreme Court is expected to release its final ruling on the Mississippi abortion case Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health later this month.

Since Roe in 1973, more than 63 million unborn babies and hundreds of mothers have died in supposedly “safe, legal” abortions.

Somebody needs to tell Rotske that he can have all of the abortions he wants. We won’t obstruct his murdering of his babies. Just go sit down and be a good little boy.

In a sane world, your post makes sense. But now it’s a mixed up world. Rotske could really be a female.
