I remember that.
I'm already seeing that happening near my office in north Texas. To make matters worse, the dumpster trucks are obviously being operated by new or overburdened drivers, because the dumpsters are not emptied regularly. People don't care that the dumpster is over-full, they just leave bags of trash on the ground in front of it. When the truck does arrive, they don't shovel that stuff up - often they put the empty dumpster back down on top of the heap of bags.
Back in the day, the solution was a trash incinerator. But today? Nope, the EPA will getcha.

True that. A guy I know runs his own HVAC company, and he has a devil of a time getting apprentices. He’ll hire one on a Monday, and pay him on Friday. And I’m talking good money.
And that’s it. The apprentices never return. I guess they’d rather be online video game players or rap stars.
“This is Yard waste, tree’s limbs grass clippings. Not regular trash.”
Compost
My thought also. Blame a driver shortage to cover for the insane cost of diesel.
that can be burned in the yards
Yeah, just go flaccid in hiring, the rest takes care of itself.
Around here they don’t pick up grass clippings. Either compost them or leave them on the lawn.
Our trash service, Republic Services combines the Recycle trash with the regular trash.
I’ve noticed increased dumping in my area as well. More so around smaller 9-5 buildings where they are less likely to attract attention vs a strip mall or big box store that has much more foot traffic.
Likely one of the biggest problems.
I also suspect these municipalities add requirements in the contracts that a certain percentage of the employees have to have a certain skin color and / or genitalia.
It's one of the few things the garbage company can cease pickups without being in violation of a contract and correctly point the finger back at the municipality since it's their requirement.
There goes composting. Yet another recycling scam?
I have no problem with pot heads not operating big rigs.
I was hollered at once for putting a small amount of trash in someone else’s dumpster. Theft of services was the reason.
Since then, I only take stuff from dumpsters.
Pay them enough and they'll work for you. Simple economics.
Say what?
Added since last week?
Young people think that they should start out as a high level manager. They deserve it. No need to earn it. Start at the bottom? Ridiculous.
