I wouldn’t advise it for any young man or woman given the state of this government and country, frankly.
I've been doing that for at least ten years. It's crazy, I loved my time in the Army (8 years active duty). Way back then, in the early 80s, I could see much of the fun parts going away.
I have two sons, and a dozen nephews in their 20s, I've been forthright on my views about the military. When pressed, I say enlist in the Air Force if you have to. It's the closest thing to civilian life you can get.
I speak from experience, I was stationed on AF bases during my tour in Germany, 77-81.
I live in a town where every year a dozen or more kids enlist right after high school. This year only 2 did. Dads are telling their kids don’t enlist until Biden is out. I guess they’re paying attention.
I served twice, honorably discharged both times. No way I'd sign the papers for either of my sons to enlist given the 'wokeness' of the modern day military. I used to encourage people to look T the military as a means for education, opportunity, and grow as a person. That stopped when Obama took office.
Me either. I gave ‘em 20 but that’s when America was still America.
