Trump arrived in DC rich and left a lot poorer. Bella Pelosi,OTOH,arrived in DC penniless and will leave worth hundreds of millions. Funny how that works out!
Her husband was always pretty well off. They had met and married in their native Baltimore and moved to CA, which was where Nancy’s brother had gotten into SF politics and then she followed him on the Board of Supervisors and got her start.
She had been involved in Baltimore stuff because she had interned for a Maryland senator just after she graduated college.
I was living in SF when she got elected, posing as an Italian American “of the people”...from her Pacific Heights mansion. I couldn’t stand her.
