When Odessa's mentioned this is what comes to mind. When thy burned people alive and wouldn't let them escape.

The Ukraine-Russia conflict is strange. Both are a Slavic people who are Eastern Orthodox. But the Ukrainians have been hellbent on pissing off the Russians in the past ten years (poking the bear), and they and Zelensky are getting what they wished for.

The big question now is: when will Russia stop the offensive? Catherine the Great is reportedly Putin's favorite Romanov czar. She founded and built the city of Odessa. I think in Putin's mind, his destiny is to reclaim the city for Russian glory.

Which of course is terrible news for Ukraine. If the Russians take Odessa, which I think they will, Ukraine becomes a landlocked country with no access to the Black Sea.

Ukraine never poked the bear unless you buy all the lies of the fake “separatist” movement. Ukraine did nothing to Russia. Russia flattened Ukrainian cities. Russia is stealing Ukrainian land and resources. Russia is overseeing the deaths of thousands of its own troops, thousands of Ukrainian troops. and thousands of Ukrainian civilians. You need to talk to some of the real Russian-speakers in the Donbas who are fighting against Putin’s land grab.

Is Blinken capable of telling the truth?

As read somewhere else.

The Uke’s mined the waters.
The tethers broke loose, now the mines are floating around.

Need: someone with balls to go out and salvage all the Uke mines, or wait till they wash up on land so you can pick them up

The Uke’s have launched attacks into the Dombass for eight years.
The Uke’s massed a 100,000+ army at the Dombas border for an invasion.

The Dombas declared independence.
Russia supported independent Domabas.
Russia launched an attack and won the war in the opening days.

Today, Russia is vaporizing Uke soldiers in the Dombas.

Putin is working on his main objectives.
De-militarize Ukraine
De-Nazify Ukraine

Sure it is.

The 50 year old T-62’s will roll into it at any moment /s

Hard eyeroll.

FR is becoming Embarassing. I get linked to websites where on Feb 24 they were cheering war and a fast Russian Victory and on June 4th, that same website is talking about Russian tanks taking Kiev in the “summer of 2022”. huh? Delusional.

Russia has lost the element of surprise and there are too many choke points where “2 guys and a Stugna” can stop any advance more than 50 miles from where the Russians currently are. The Russians also drive down the same road and try the same stupid tactics over and over and over again, apparently not knowing the definition of insanity.

The Russian lines aren’t going to move forward more than 50 miles in the next 6 months and the odds of them going backwards are 10X higher as the Russian body bags continue to stack up.

The longer it drags out, the more impatient the Russian people will get with this folly. Kherson Falls to Ukraine (and Russia blows the bridges) before Mykolaiv falls to Russia (and Ukraine blows the bridge).

It looks like the Russians are replicating Stalin and Zhukov’s World War II tactics: throwing massive numbers of men and materiel at the enemy, then the Germans and now the Ukrainians. One huge difference: Russia in 2022 does not have the numbers the Soviets had in 1943-45. Additionally, the Soviet Army had a mostly unimpeded supply of weapons from the United States.

If the Russians take Odessa, which I think they will,

What is the Russian path to "take Odesa"? Looking at a map and understanding Russian support logistics, I don't see one. Please enlighten me.

They couldn't take Kharkiv which is 30 miles from the Russia border and was only a hour car ride from a huge rail hub at Belgorod

I think Zelensky is a Globalist tool as much as the next guy, but your thoughts aren't based on objective reality.

People on FR seem to need to put a little more thought in their thoughts

Far from it, but any major Russian advances are Over. They'll nickel/dime west/north and loses 10-50 tanks/BMP's a day doing it.

Russia taking any new major city is straight up delusional at this point.

At 54K Russian Soldiers dead (Russia's Viet Nam), they are going be happy with Luhansk and Donnensk and live in their dream world that they De-nazified Ukraine.

Tell that to nearly every Russian over 60. They seem to ALL think Ukraine special operation was about killing Nazi's (Azov battalion) and the poor siberian conscripts and Chechen Mercenaries they are sending to be burned up in a T-72/BMP are "glorious Z patriots".

Watching man on the street videos in Moscow, I finally see where the left's TDS comes from. They thought Trumpsters were Zombies that would follow Trump into invading a soveign country for History, glory and plunder (but mostly for Oligharchical Plunder).

Putin did what Trump could never do... actually fufill ALL of his detractors worst fears about him.

Ukraine is all things to all people. To LM and Gaytheon its all about the $Billions they'll make showing off their shiny new toys against "the world's 2nd Army",

The only good thing coming out of this will be a stronger, Nationalist Ukraine, that will be harder to become a globalist dream. When the WEF tries to Build Ukraine Back Better, odds are high they will tell them to F-off.

Odessa is where Zelensky’s top advisor is from, and he’s basically running much of the show....keeping in mind he ran for President Of Ukraine as well and likely hopes to have that staus one day when this is over. But he is a dangerous man. I believe he will definately fight hard over Odessa.
