I am indigenous also. I was born on the Earth. So I am an indigenous earth-dweller. Her type of “indigenous” people would probably not accept me as I am a white. straight, Christian, conservative male. Could not care less what these people think. And I use the term “think” loosely, as they appear to have no rational thought processes.

I remember a TV talk show in possibly 1969 or so where Timothy Leary expounded upon the spiritual elegance and total superiority over the West of the Aztecs and their closeness to the earth and nature, blah blah. an anti-drug fellow in a suit and tie countered: Their drug use which went way up quickly at one point is the best explanation for their savagery in cutting open living people and sacrificing children. They never regained their cultural prominence. Leary looked sort of surprised but couldn't give a good rejoinder.
