This is a PUTIN Dye problem.
It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine...
What would you have Biden & Co. do about it? GE is a private company. They make their business decisions based solely on what is best for them and their bottom line. Unless you want Biden & Co to nationalize the company then I don't see what they, or even Trump & Co. for that matter, can do.
I am sitting on a 6 week wait for the contrast dye for a CT scan. I am lucky.
I feel this poor woman’s frustration and anxiety. A CT scan with Iodine contrast is absolutely essential for determining the extent of a possible malignancy in the kidney. I went through a similar situation several years ago. Back then it was the insurance company causing the delay, and only for 3 weeks. But 3 weeks can make the difference between having a partial or total nephrectomy; or worse, give the malignancy a chance to metastasize.
Having to wait 6 weeks on top of however long she’s already waited is unacceptable in a first world country and could very easily make the difference between life and death!
Renal Cell Carcinoma, once it’s outside of the kidney, is a death sentence. Pray for her, that she may have a successful outcome as I did.
Would that be President Donald “Mean Tweets” Trump?

Returning manufacturing to the US isn’t the only way to stop depending on and funding China and the CCP. It would be the best way, but not the only way. Diversifying sourcing to other countries that aren’t existential threats is another.
Right. We can buy cheap, toxic junk from Vietnam or Malaysia. The dye shortage is worse though. It was insane to outsource products like that to the Chicoms. They got us by the short hairs.
Just had annual CT w/o contrast this week.
Sorry......but currently they are rationing it.
Under sedation or blowin' in the wind?
And medical devices are becoming hard to get.
No need for sedation, in and out in 90 minutes.Have to see if my brain tumor is status or growing, so far static..2nd tumor in 20 years.
Sheesh...I did battle for a couple weeks earlier this year...at first they couldn't knock me out with plain sedatives, then they put me under with the knock-out juice, and finally they plugged me into the big new CT gizmo at Mayo (avoid, avoid, avoid)...I'm terribly claustrophobic and each new toy is tougher than the last.
Good on you for hanging tough.
Ain’t globalism grand? Thank the Bushes and the GOPe for this. They’ve been pushing it for decades.
Well my first acoustic neuroma in 2001 was cut out after 16 hours of surgery at UAMS in Little Rock,(Did go to the Mayo but they didn’t want to operate) it was a aggressive tumor and was within days of death as you do not have much room in your skull for that kind of growth. Recovery was a uphill fight as all the neck muscles were cut but working out in the gym 7 days a week for 3 years got me back to normal as possilbe, did have total loss of hearing in my Left ear.Speed up to Nov 2020 due to a major issue with what I thought was a Molar problem turned out to be yet another AN this time it had wrapped around many Facial nerves and was inoperable so I elected to go with Gamma Knife radiation and had 5 treatments over a month’s time, the treatments were in and out in 30-40 minutes as I elected to go Frameless, had the HALO the first time and hated it...Currently the tumor is static slight shrinkage 1/10th mm, doing ok but have some lingering radiation effects but holding my own.
Keep up the good fight, not letting this kill me either!
Prayers for you!
