Ha...we were camping in Teton National Park...grandfather used a frying pan to scare away a bear who came scavenging around our tent in the night.
Nope.
Read it here.
;D
Did he say the same thing?
All I read was PedoJoe saying a 9mm would “blow your lungs out of your body”.
Why not use a .22?
He wanted a Tombstone pizza.
In N GA if you hang bird feeders they will come. Don’t do that.
Maybe because the 9mm was handier?
Putting out a bird feeder in bear country is practically baiting. What kind of idiot does this?
A fed bear is a dead bear.
Bears repeating... mamma bear don’t take nothin off nobody.
This case is very unusual behavior.
Probably territorial. Essentially:
This is my resource, humans have shown they are not dangerous, and do not deserve any respect.
Is having a bear that is a nuisance being killed a bad thing.
We have plenty of black bears.
Is a dead bear a Bag thing.
A fed bear is a tasty bear.
Humans who create nuisance bears are a bad thing.
Why ?
Nuisance bears no matter the reason should be shot.
They just don’t make bears like they used to.
I’ll Grin
and Bare That!
Because people who create nuisance bears are abusing a natural resource. Bears need to be managed like all other wildlife. Responsible hunting seasons and limits can provide for this. But people who screw with the system by feeding wild bears are every bit as guilty as those who hunt illegally: they cause the death of an animal that was not taken according to sound practices of wildlife management.
My in-laws in the NC mountains said everyone in their neighborhood sets off their car alarms before they go out of the house, because there are always bears roaming the neighborhood.
True dat.
The only thing that are more of a pest around here are Whitetale deer, turkeys and Canadian Geese
That reminds me. I need to buy nets for my blueberry bushes.
Last year the turkeys ate all the berries before they ever turned blue.
