The U.S. Justice Department on Tuesday asked a federal appeals court to overturn a U.S. District Court judge’s order that declared a government mandate requiring masks on public transportation unlawful, according to a report.
A federal judge in April voided the Biden administration’s mask mandate for travelers using public transportation such as trains and airplanes. The mandate from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) applied to people as young as 2-years-old.

You are free to mask up. No law stops you.
Go to your local airport. Fly to O’Hare, Atlanta, or other hub of your choice. Note that 85 to 90% of Americans do not believe a mask is necessary.
Who are you going to believe? The DOJ, media and Biden? Or your own two eyes?

What does the DOJ have to do with this?

My wife and I have a planned trip to Vegas to celebrate our Anniversary. We didn’t buy Budget, non-refundable tickets, or reservations. For this very reason.
If the Leftist DOJ is successful in getting this overturned we will be canceling this planned trip.

Oh, stop whining, DOJ. Accursed masks do not work anyway, and for that matter, the “vaccine” is pretty much an impractical way to “control” transmission of COVID-19 Wuhan virus.
Daily intake of 50 grams of Zn++ along with at least 500 mg of quercetin and 1,000 mg Vitamin C. The disease never gets a foot hold in your body tissues.

Civil side of DOJ. If the government wants to appeal something, the DOJ is basically their in-house law firm.

I would say that aside from informed common sense (sometimes in close quarters with the infectious) then broad mandates have negative effects - from depersonalization to less exercise/increased obesity to increased blood pressure - that outweigh any good that they accomplish.
And after all that has been done, the case and death rates are not very different:

But if we had a conservative GOP administration, the media would be headlining how vaccination and restrictions failed.

I just think these things should be left to jurisdictions and companies. Nope...to INDIVIDUALS.
Find your own risk/comfort level and mask or unmask accordingly.

Well, you might have a personal ‘risk level’, but a private concern might have other ideas - just like a restaurant requiring shoes and shirt.

The mask mandates only purpose is to show compliance.
A real test of compliance would order everyone to wear their underpants on the outside.

A “mandate”? Isn’t what Transportation Secretary Buttplug and his “husband” have every Saturday evening?
