Inside a Biden White House adrift

Amid a rolling series of calamities and sinking approval ratings, the president’s feeling lately is that he just can’t catch a break — and that angst is rippling through his party.

WASHINGTON — Faced with a worsening political predicament, President Joe Biden is pressing aides for a more compelling message and a sharper strategy while bristling at how they’ve tried to stifle the plain-speaking persona that has long been one of his most potent assets.

Biden is rattled by his sinking approval ratings and is looking to regain voters’ confidence that he can provide the sure-handed leadership he promised during the campaign, people close to the president say.

Crises have piled up in ways that have at times made the Biden White House look flat-footed: record inflation, high gas prices, a rise in Covid case numbers — and now a Texas school massacre that is one more horrific reminder that he has been unable to get Congress to pass legislation to curb gun violence. Democratic leaders are at a loss about how he can revive his prospects by November, when midterm elections may cost his party control of Congress.

“I don’t know what’s required here,” said Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., whose endorsement in the 2020 Democratic primaries helped rescue Biden’s struggling candidacy. “But I do know the poll numbers have been stuck where they are for far too long.”

Sad picture. The (used to be) great nation of America has as it's leader a poser. He's stupid, corrupt and lazy. Just like his boss, o'bummer.

It's the Peter Principle with catastrophic consequences.

I think they are on the track they want to be on.

The problem is more and more people are realizing it is all intentional destruction of the country.

He’s done.

I wish I could believe that. I firmly believed that there was absolutely NO WAY Obama could ever win a second term. I knew he had zero chance of getting re-elected. None whatsoever.

Bet things are humming along smoothly just down the street at Obama’s complex.

I kind of doubt that. Obama's "surprise visit" to the White House a few weeks ago, with the media offering the laughable excuse that it was to "celebrate the anniversary of Obamacare," was, I suspect, his effort to personally lay down the law to his underlings and try to right the ship.

None of us have heard much from the DNC lately. My guess is they turned the whole thing over to Obama's crew once the election was "secured," with Obama's assurance that everything the Left has desired for decades would be pushed through. While they've been fairly successful at advancing their "agenda," pretty much no one outside old '60s and '70s "activists," their indoctrinated kids and grandkids, and college professors seem to be exactly pleased with it.

Obama has a massive ego, and I suspect he's getting quite a few rather terse messages and emails from the "traditional" Democrat corporate donor base inquiring why their stocks are tanking daily and their bottom lines keep drifting lower and lower in just a year and a half of Democrat "leadership." As more and more people begin to suspect this isn't Biden's show, but Obama's, I'm thinking he's quite determined that he NOT be identified with this unprecedented, ongoing, failure. So things may not exactly be "humming" at Obama HQ right about now.

Well, as I recall Romney got less votes than McCain in 2008. Obama didn’t increase his vote much.

What’s funny to me is that he’s never been plain spoken. He’s been speaking nonsense gibberish his entire career.

Biden and the democrats actively planned to destroy what was left of America. This is Obama’s fourth term. Biden is happy to complete the “fundamental transformation” Obama started.

Speculation is churning that Biden could shake up the West Wing staff”

yep, rearrange the deck chairs on the titanic, because that’s pretty much all Cap’n Dementia and his crew is capable of, except perhaps ramming some more icebergs hoping that the results will be different than the first dozen icebergs they’ve already rammed ...

Biden is a lying dog face pony soldier. I would not call that an asset.

The Three Envelopes:
A new CEO was hired to take over a struggling company. The CEO who was stepping down met with him privately and presented him with three numbered envelopes. “Open these if you run into serious trouble,” he said.

Well, three months later sales and profits were still way down and the new CEO was catching a lot of heat. He began to panic but then he remembered the envelopes. He went to his drawer and took out the first envelope. The message read, “Blame your predecessor.” The new CEO called a press conference and explained that the previous CEO had left him with a real mess and it was taking a bit longer to clean it up than expected, but everything was on the right track. Satisfied with his comments, the press – and Wall Street – responded positively.

Another quarter went by and the company continued to struggle. Having learned from his previous experience, the CEO quickly opened the second envelope. The message read, “Reorganize.” So he fired key people, consolidated divisions and cut costs everywhere he could. This he did and Wall Street, and the press, applauded his efforts.

Three months passed and the company was still short on sales and profits. The CEO would have to figure out how to get through another tough earnings call. The CEO went to his office, closed the door and opened the third envelope. The message said, “Prepare three envelopes.”

Biden has blamed everyone, tried for a staff shuffle and only one envelop remains.
