So let me get this straight. A wack job who had absolutely no regard for the law shoots up an elementary school. A local police force does next to nothing to stop him.

And the Senate is going to go after the millions of law abiding gun owners as a result.

Every individual wacko presents new hope to politicians that is is a gun that did the deed and not the wacko.

The 2nd Amendment is not subject to Congressional oversight. Congress has no jurisdiction.

The spirit of Neville Chamberlain lives on!

You can rest assured that even BB guns will be classified as assault weapons...

Those lung-removing handguns are assault weapons as well...

The coming attempt at the confiscation of the 400,000,000 guns in the hands of U.S. serfs will be very interesting...

IMHO, 50-to-70 percent of them will be handed over with barely a whimper...

Bingo! There is no bipartisanship on this. The democrats think they have leverage and will not negotiate on anything. If the Republicans do not agree to everything, they want they will walk and blame the republicans. In fact, I think the democrats do not want a deal they want talking pints for the msm and midterms

A bill already existed that the Democrats blocked a vote on, named for victims of the Parkland shooting. Actually that’s the case for many years now - Democrats block votes, they blame Republicans for ‘doing nothing’, and the cycle repeats itself. Of course this bill was actually designed to combat mass shootings from taking place vs. “controlling” law abiding gun owners.

The Republicans should just demand a vote on that bill and blast the Democrats for blocking the vote. There is no reason to negotiate anything. A piece of legislation already exists the Democrats do not even want to allow to come for a vote.

"It may be intentional, because Republican senators always seem terrified of being in power."

Sure - that would mean they may have to do a little work....

This is what the left thinks of us.
It is very reminiscent of Nazi Germany's dehumanizing/desensitizing campaign agains the Jews.
Prepare accordingly :

The GOPe feels it is more worthy of the democrat voters than the democrats are and desperately wants them to see it that way.

They hate their own voters and could care the less.

It truly amazes me how out of touch the GOPe always is. They unfailingly accept the leftist media premise. Like doggies on a leash they just live to he lead around. So sick of this kind of “leadership.” They hate Trump so, not for the man, but because he refuses to accept the premise and leads accordingly. They hate his voters, who used to be his voters, because they reward him for doing this. It makes the GOPe look silly and ineffective.

Agree. They want talks to fail, so they can run on it to distract from the economy. That is why Biden wants to ban 9mm handguns now.

It shouldn’t. Look at the age of the majority of the GOPe - they’re mostly elderly, have been in politics so long that they don’t have a clue about the reality outside of politics, have not had to keep up to date on almost anything.

They think the New York Times print edition is still influential and meaningful. In fact, they think the NYT and Washington Post are still the true voices of the nation.

They’re even surprised when told people don’t have landlines any more.

They’re that out of touch, and they don’t care.

"I could see 50 percent - not sure about 70"

Even at 50%, we will be better off than the patriots were on Lexington Green & Concord Bridge...

200,000,000 guns should be enough to convert any of the approximately 40,000,000 communist Biden voters to our point of view...
