It’s weird to see so many “conservatives” on Russia’s side. The war has clearly gone much worse for Russia than it had planned, and I’m glad that Western aid to Ukraine has played a role in that. Russia intended to take Kiev and other major cities. That’s not happening.

Russia wanted the whole enchilada, but now figures half a loaf is better than none.

Pay attention to what the Western elites are doing in Davos.

If that is “our side” then I would hate to think what our enemies would do to us.

This conservative is purely anti-globalist, and especially anti neocon. Ukraine is fully their project

It does appear that if Ukrainian forces in the East face betting encircled, they need to withdraw to me defensible positions before that happens.
If they do, can they deploy enough heavy weapons in time to stop the Russians?

No idea.

Certainly they’ve done great at terrible expense,but can they win long term?

I’ve always thought that to actually defeat Russia, Western forces from other countries would need to intervene.

“...’conservatives’ on Russia’s side...”

Questioning the narrative and reports on Russia-Ukraine war coming from the Biden Administration and the media DOES NOT equate to being in Russia’s side. Rather it is a result of being both objective and analytical of the information provided.

Only idiots, fools, partisan hacks, or intellectually dishonest people believe the Biden Admin or the media without question.

These are the same people that insist Joe Biden received 81 million votes, January 6th was an insurrection and the biggest threat in our nation’s history, Trump colluded with Russia, men with penises are actually women, and Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation. And even though everybody knows those are all lies, you’re still stupid enough to believe everything they report on Ukraine.

PUH-LEEZE!

About the American $40bn to the Ukraine. Can you tell us in one sentence where that aid came from? Was it just a surplus from somewhere?

Russia was going to have to be stopped by somebody, at some point -- the sooner the better. Remember Neville Chamberlain.

“It’s weird to see so many “conservatives” on Russia’s side.”

Genuine conservatives are not on either side.

It’s the stupid, anti-Americans that picked a side.

These pathetic Free Republic wankers have been so psychically abused by Klaus Schwab and Globalism, that they seek refuge in Putinism. Vlad is their savior and their answer.

And in doing so are actively supporting genocide, which is horrible if the group concerned are Jews, but if they are Ukrainian, its something to be supportive about:

The Orcs have forcibly taken 180,000 Ukrainian children into Russia.

Russia is in official violation of Article 2 and 3 of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG):
Article 2 of the Convention defines genocide as
... any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Article 3 defines the crimes that can be punished under the convention:
(a) Genocide;
(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;
(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;
(d) Attempt to commit genocide;
(e) Complicity in genocide.

How about being on the side of truth? I’m of German heritage but that doesn’t oblige me to defend Hitler and the Third Reich. The same applies here. As a “westerner” or an “American” (in its current rudderless interregnum), don’t assume your identity group is fighting the good fight. Country and party are mostly window dressing anyway, as you’re owned by WEF, Davos, Soros, Big tech, the central banks and the deep state- a club of less than a thousand elites. Literally the only civilization left today that’s free of that ownership is present day Russia, largely due to Putin reviving the country and modernizing their nuclear deterrent. Under sellouts Gorby and Yeltsin the plan for Russia was to liquidate it and sell off the assets and had that happened the world would be truly screwed. This war isn’t about Ukraine, it’s about the ultimate defeat of the EU, NATO and the western elite slavers.

“Freeper” NorseViking claimed two months ago that Kiev would fall within days. Other “Freepers” claim that the massive move on Kiev was just a classic feint.

Feints are an economy of force measure where you demonstrate in front of the enemy to tie down forces and obscure your intentions. Feints do not involve deep penetrations with armored columns 20 miles long. With feints you should not lose hundreds of vehicles like the Russians did at the approaches to Kiev.
