Twice because someone used the wrong pronoun.
Uvalde has been swamped with illegals being dumped there by the Biden administration. How much time and effort have the local cops been spending on dealing with that engineered chaos? Have their cops been “defunded”? Have they suffered an exedos of experienced cops like most places, have they had to lower their standards to get more applicants? These are all things that we should be looking into, but I don’t see anyone in the media doing that.
If true, then you’d think the school staff would have learned TO KEEP THEIR DOORS LOCKED.
So far it sounds like the school was negligent. The school must provide the first line of defense, since an attack can be completed before police respond — even if they police are competent.
If they have had frequent security threats, they should have proactively had the outer doors locked and had security manning the single point of entrance. They should have hardened the security by locking interior doors as soon as they got the security alert. They should have had access to a key to open the classroom. The school should have someone on site with a gun and the training to use it.
A business office with similar number of people as a school probably has much better security.
With all that practice, you'd think they'd be able to actually lock it down when someone's firing a weapon outside for 12 minutes.
One big epic fail
Too bad they weren’t locked down 49 times. It seems like when a crazy gunman is out in front of the school shooting at passersby in the street for 12 minutes that somebody inside the school might think it would be a good idea to lock all the doors.
I guess lockdowns become such a boring and normal routine that officials failed to take them seriously.
Presser just held, border patrol was on scene around noontime but local cops refused to let them enter the school. This just keeps getting worse and worse. Multiple 911 calls from within the school from students asking for police to come to the school.
At least 48 training opportunities for the clucking pigs. Instead:
“I’m gonna put our SWAT team pic on my Facebook! Ha! SWAT, baby, watch out! Who’s in charge now? I am, the moron down the street.”
Does that mean they were numb to anything going on in the area around them and had taken to ignoring it? Maybe that’s why security was so lacking? Thanks, Joe.

Closing/locking public places due to potential acts of terrorism/violence is often a hard call to make.
We know a man and his family living in a border state with the growing problems of illegals.
He was a Marine on his active duty and did a lot of Shore Patrol duty.
He often served as an usher for his church’s Saturday evening service. Usually, 2-3 dozen members and family members attended that service.
Like many semi down town churches, his church was located on a checker board of streets, which ran from safe to not so safe.
Their regular parson had retired, and they had a substitute.
As acts of crime increased around the church an a few minor theft from the church. Some members wanted some members to be armed. Many and the substitute parson said, “No!”
So on a nice Saturday late afternoon, during church, this man was outside collecting the handicapped parking signs to bring inside.
While on the west side of the Church a car pulled up from the south and was parked in the middle of the side street. A guy jumped out of the car and ran into a house.
A few seconds later 3 cop cars came from the south and parked behind the suspect’s car.
Then, 2 cop cars pulled from the north and parked in front of the suspect’s car.
A motorcycle cop pulled up and onto the sidewalk by the church.
He told our friend to go inside and keep the doors closed and locked and have the people inside to stay seated and inside.
So our good guy goes in the west front door and locks it.
Then, he crossed over behind the pews to lock the east front door.
Then, he went to the back part of the church to lock the two doors back there.
The attending church members had heard the sirens and most felt possible bad events could happen.
A few minutes later our friend heard the motorcycle cop declare, “It is over!”
He went out one of the back doors and had it locked asap.
As he walked up to where the motorcycle cop was, he heard “All Clear” on a loud speaker in a cop car.
Turns out the guy who abandoned his car was an abandoned suitor of a young woman living across the street from the church. Her Dad and Brothers convinced the idiot to go out with his hands up and surrender or else.
Everything worked out for the church members that day.
This brave man still has nightmares and has joined a church which has approved members armed for services.
sounds as if there was a local police admin inability to deal with the crisis in a timely manner. maybe they were waiting for some kind of legal input?
