According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), a mass murder occurs when at least four people are murdered, not including the shooter, over a relatively short period of time during a single incident. Over the last 30 years, the US has seen a significant increase in mass shootings, which are becoming more frequent and more deadly.
School shootings have also seen an exponential growth during the last three decades and in 2018 alone, there were 103 incidents of gunfire on school grounds, resulting in 53 murders, seven suicides, and 88 injuries.
Seemingly every time a mass shooting occurs, whether it’s at a synagogue in Pittsburgh or a nightclub in Orlando, the anti-gun media and politicians have a knee-jerk response – they blame the tragedy solely on the tool used, namely firearms, and focus all of their proposed ‘solutions’ on more laws, ignoring that the murderer already broke numerous laws when they committed their atrocity.
Facts matter when addressing such an emotionally charged topic, and more gun control legislation has shown that law-abiding Americans who own guns are not the problem. Consider the following: The more gun

IMO, it’s because parents started being their kids’ best friends instead of raising their children to be strong upstanding adults.
Only a mentally ill person would shoot up a school.
10’s of millions of people take “psychotropic” drugs for a variety of mental illnesses.
The percentage of people on such drugs who shoot up schools is not appreciably different from the percentage of people NOT on such drug who shoot up schools.
Are you a Scientologist, by chance?

No, I am not a Scientologist. I know the definition of a woman (and man.) Why? Are you?
I think mentally ill people get the blame for far too many of the world's problems, while EVIL PEOPLE are rarely blamed for their actions.
Is Biden mentally ill? Pelosi, Klaus Schwab, the Clinton's, Bill Barr, Chris Wray, Milley, Obama, Fauci, Xi Jingping, Bill Gates, Commucrats, etc.?
Has no one breached the subject of marijuana? The common use of this drug in adolescence can cause permanent changes in the brain.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Fatherless households lead to unruly and anxious children. Mothers seek pharmaceutical help in that difficult situation to treat disorders that would not have arisen without half of the parenting team missing.
Dan Quayle was so right in criticizing "Murphy Brown" decades ago. We have reaped the whirlwind.
Based on correlation but it should be investigated. Suicide is also correlated with SSRI use (as one would suspect). The real issue is....why is there an increase in SSRI use.
Leftists are way more likely to be depressed or anxious. Think TDS.
Empirical analyses find a modest but significant, common tendency: individuals vulnerable to depression are less likely to identify with mainstream conservative parties, to vote for them, or to place themselves on the right side of the political spectrum (Party Politics. 2021;27(6):1132-1143. doi:10.1177/1354068820930391).
• There is a small but significant 26% increased risk for committing violent crime in individuals who take selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) according to analysis of Swedish population data (Eur Neuropsychopharma. 2020;May 29 DOI: 10.1016/j.euroneuro.2020.03.024). The overall HR for violent crime while on SSRI treatment vs off treatment was 1.26 (95% CI, 1.19 - 1.34). The increased risk for violent crime decreased once SSRI treatment was discontinued, falling from an HR of 1.37 (95% CI, 1.21 - 1.55) in the first 28 days after stopping treatment to 1.20 (95% CI, 1.08 - 1.33) 29 to 84 days after discontinuation. It fell to a nonsignificant 0.94 (95% CI, 0.88 - 1.01) more than 84 days after stopping SSRIs. The team acknowledges that questions remain over the causality of the relationship between SSRI treatment and violent crime, and it suggests that, in future studies, the “clinical focus should be on high-risk individuals.” Only a small proportion of individuals went on to commit violent crimes regardless of treatment (<3% in the study sample). This effect seems to continue for up to 12 weeks after stopping SSRI treatment.

It's just a FDA ruling manufacturers are required to put on their medications so as to protect themselves from lawsuits.
Similar to the 1964 ruling that made cigarette companies put warning labels about the risks of cancer. The media and conservatives and liberals jump on this as an indictment of anti-depressants and people who do need them and are helped by them are viewed as potential mass murdering time bombs. It's total bs.
Is that you Harry Anslinger?
Fox News host Tucker Carlson reacts to the politicization of the Texas school shooting in Ulvade, reflects on mental illness and stopping violence in America.
