Texas Department Public Safety spokesman Lt. Christopher Olivarez confirmed to a reporter during a live shot that police officers went into Robb Elementary School to get their own children during the massacre.
Amid outrage over reports that frantic families who complained about police inaction during the massacre were held back by police, a clip of a live interview with Olivarez from Tuesday has gone viral.

There's going to be a buttload of guilt and culpability to spread around. Cops and school people alike.
WHY didn't SOMEONE lock the ******g school down - probably just by mashing one single button?
Similar to Parkland, where the school cop hid and told neighboring Coral Reef police to not approach. Those brave cops ignored and went hell bent for leather. BTW, that coward cop was fired and is facing lawsuits.
I’d like to know how many cops the town has, and how much or how little training they’ve had. I suspect that the town, like most in the country, has had an exodus of experienced cops thru resignation or retirement, and has had a hard time recruiting anyone to be cops. So far, I haven’t heard anyone on TV ask these questions.

When seconds count, cops who are sitting around waiting for backup and equipment for an hour doesn’t quite cut it.

We do know that Uvalde has been swamped with illegals, and their cops have been having to deal with that chaos. Are they overworked, understaffed, and underpaid? You would think that someone in the media and maybe some politician would want to know about that.

I saw this earlier and the source was some site I’d never heard of before so I didn’t post it. It could well be fake news, but on the off chance that it isn’t then the idea that it could have happened is absolutely infuriating and heads should roll.
I can remember when an nutjob took many rifles up a Texas bell tower and began shooting random people below. Regular Texans went to their trucks and got their deer rifles out and pinned down the assassin while others joined the cops in rushing up the tower stairs and killing the murderer.
Guess that Texas is long gone.
So what is McConnell’s excuse for wanting to work with Schumer?
