Texas Department Public Safety spokesman Lt. Christopher Olivarez confirmed to a reporter during a live shot that police officers went into Robb Elementary School to get their own children during the massacre.
Amid outrage over reports that frantic families who complained about police inaction during the massacre were held back by police, a clip of a live interview with Olivarez from Tuesday has gone viral.

I live just to the north in the “Constitution “state in our resident sleazeballs Chris Murphy and DaNangDick, particularly Murphy, wasted no time crying on the Senate floor the day of the attack. In recent days, They seem to have been much more camera shy about talking gun control to the extent they were just a few days ago
Just for fun, I may have to call their offices and annoy their staffers and then demand Murphy, in particular comment about the failure of the local police in Texas. I can almost guarantee you it will get me hung up on for questioning the leftist narrative.

The problems at Parkland go much deeper, and they go national. I read Why Meadow Died. Co-written by one of the parents of one of the kids killed.

I’d be curious as to how many lockdown alerts at Ross Elementary versus district-wide. If every school in the district went on lockdown whenever a car chase occurred in the region, no surprise that they would cease to be taken seriously.
At this point it seems that one teacher compromised security by propping open the back door so she could skip out to her car. I speculate that leaving your class for unofficial breaks is not allowed, and she propped the back door so she could get back in without the front office knowing. It only takes one selfish idiot to destroy a security plan. I couldn’t live with having done something like that.
Sadly a $5 magnetic door switch hooked to any commercial alarm system to alert of an open door might have been very useful at this school.
That was my issue and question. Was there not even one teacher who was carrying? You’d think in Uvalde,TX there might still be some old school non woke Texan teachers. Especially in a small town, not a big city or slightly blue suburb. As a 7th generation Texas citizen I can say that and it makes me sad. Just one teacher who was carrying and trainedmight have made the difference and saved lives.
Any such teacher has probably been pushed out of the system by leftists.
Yea, I’ve seen that in stuff posted since then. Sounds like half the cops there were just there to make sure their own kids were safe, and that was it...
15 thousand?
If it’s like my area, we have a lot of Barney Fifes....
In an official briefing, a colonel in the Texas DPS states that at 11:33 the teacher was standing at the back door when a LEO “sped around to the back door, thinking she was the shooter, only to realize the person he saw was the teacher.” (My paraphrase). If the colonel is to be believed, at a point when the shooter had ripped off lots of rounds and LEO was on scene, rushing around searching for him, this teacher was standing at the OPEN back door. Despite what would seem to be clear and present danger, she apparently walked away without bothering to close and lock the door. Minutes later the shooter entered the open/unlocked back door and started murdering children. I’ve wracked my brain for anything to explain this; “forget to close the door” is not plausible.
Good point.
