The Democrats have worked too hard to make schools very dangerous
Schumer is excellent at two things; obstruction and anything to do with stealing taxpayers monry.
How does Schumer not make democraps skin crawl? Every time he speaks I feel like a million fleas are crawling across my skin while a thousand people are scratching chalk boards
They don’t really want to solve the problem. They get too much mileage out of every attack.
ChuckU has blood on his hands.
It’s all about getting those campaign contributions.
Hey limp wristed republicans, maybe you should use the democrat tactics against THEM for a change? Barge into Biden’s or Pelosi’s press conference. Yell at them. Cuss at them. Beg on the floor of the senate. They do it to you and the media doesn’t say a word. Grow a pair of BALLS!

Leave schools VULNERABLE TO MASS SHOOTINGS so there will be MORE MASS SHOOTINGS. Their focus is on GUNS, NOT PROTECTING CHILDREN. After all, this is the party of ABORTION, right?
Sick bastards WANT more school shootings not FEWER school shootings in order to keep the focus on GUN BANS.
DEAD KIDS are nothing more than a POLITICAL TOOL to the DemonRats to KEEP THE FOCUS ON GUNS, NOT PROTECTING CHILDREN.
Well said!
Agreed, they are way to polite, Time to take the gloves off.
No they don’t. This is just a political thing to them. A means to an end, a way to push their agenda. They don’t give a rat’s furry behind about you or your kids. This is just disgusting. Sick.

Neither party is inured from grandstanding and/or bandwagon jumping behind any tragedy. Everything is political gamesmanship to them.
In reality, every politician in DC would be ecstatic if all Americans were disarmed.
If anyone wanted to solve this problem they would be talking about mental health and how to reopen the mental health facilities that were closed in the 1980s. They would also be questioning the need for and use of anti-depressant medications for a significant portion of our society.
Until those very real and important conversations happen, all this discussion of these sorts of events is coming from people who are generating static.
This is understandable. DHS is too busy monitoring twitter for criticism of the regime and writing reports about how all the problems in America are caused by white men, they don’t have time for extra work.
Kudos to Sen. Schumer for getting one right by blocking the constitutionally indefensible school safety bill of the post-17th Amendment ratification, election year RINOs!
Although Schumer was undoubtedly taking a party line shot at "Republicans," it remains that the states have never expressly given the feds the specific power to legislatively address INTRAstate school safety.
"Our Constitution never conferred upon the Congress of the United States the power - sacred as life is, first as it is before all other rights which pertain to man on this side of the grave - to protect it in time of peace by the terrors of the penal code within organized states; and Congress has never attempted to do it. There never was a law upon the United States statute-book to punish the murderer for taking away in time of peace the life of the noblest, and the most unoffending, as well, of your citizens, within the limits of any State of the Union [emphases added]. The protection of the citizen in that respect was left to the respective States, and there the power is to-day.” —Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe. (See bottom half of third column.)
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
In other words, the RINO bill would have been another unconstitutional expansion of the already unconstitutionally big federal government's powers.
Will somebody please explain to me why it is evidently assumed that the corrupt federal government uniquely has a "magic wand" that can solve all the challenges of the sovereign states, intrastate school safety for example, better than the school communities can?
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
I think that I heard a follow the unconstitutional federal funding.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Rinse and repeat same tactic - blame Republicans, block legislation may actually address the problem, blame Republicans again and attack “the gun lobby.”
Dims simply want to control guns, and our access to them. Reducing mass murder opposes this plan.
