Tebow has some of the nuts and bolts but the bottom line was summed up by John Elway, who might be one of the most apolitical people in sports, with a backhanded compliment, something to the effect of "Tim has got it all together except the bottom line part of being an NFL QB."
And as you said, there are others. More than the number of successful NFL QBs, probably.
Ryan Leaf. Nuff said.
If the Raiders hire that clown, I will cancel my Season Ticket.
The same can be said about Tebow. Neither has what it takes to make it in the NFL. Both come with too much baggage to put up with their average talent.
The Raiders have four quarterbacks on their roster right now. Conveniently the spring OTAs are over so the first time Kaepernick will have to compete is pre-season training camp. With only three pre-season games now Kaepernich has even less time to beat out Carr for the starting spot, and his pride won't let him ride the bench. Carr isn't a hall-of-famer but he's better than Kaepernick so absent an injury I expect Colin will be on the outside looking in before the season opens.
To normal people, you come off as a self-centered, loudmouthed virtue-signaler, begging for attention. And you’re not nearly as important as you think you are.
Agreed. I’ve never claimed Tebow was cut for political reasons.
Its tough to make an NFL roster. The competition for those paychecks is fierce and even plenty of talented football players get cut every year.
Let's not forget Jamarcus Russell and Todd Marinovich. Raiders history at QB has more misses than hits.
The shouldn’t have paid him 16 CENTS.

No one will watch that loser play ball.
From 1980-2015, the following QBs won the Heisman Trophy. The italicized ones were good enough to start in the NFL for more than a season or two. The bold ones were NFL quarterbacks who had long and/or dominant careers. The others had no NFL career of note. I stopped the list at 2015 because any QB drafted after that year hasn't had a chance to build a solid track record yet.
1984 -- Doug Flutie
1986 -- Vinny Testaverde
1989 -- Andre Ware
1990 -- Ty Detmer
1992 -- Gino Torretta
1993 -- Charlie Ward
1996 -- Danny Wuerffel
2000 -- Chris Weinke
2001 -- Eric Crouch
2002 -- Carson Palmer
2003 -- Jason White
2004 -- Matt Leinart
2006 -- Troy Smith
2007 -- Tim Tebow
2008 -- Sam Bradford
2010 -- Cam Newton
2011 -- Robert Griffin
2012 -- Johnny Manziel
2013 -- Jameis Winston
2014 -- Marcus Mariota
Two things stand out to me about this list:
1. Very few Heisman Trophy quarterbacks go on to become great NFL QBs.
2. Most of the top NFL quarterbacks over the years didn't win the Heisman Trophy (think Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, John Elway, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, etc.).
The NFL had a special tryout for Kap a few years ago!!!!! And he didn’t show!. Remember, lots of NFL teams sent reps to watch, and Kap ended up going to a high school near the try-out field and threw the ball around with a receiver he practiced with. Kap’s name should never be mentioned again in the context of football.
Why didn’t he even try out for a USFL or XFL team?
Colon Crapperdick
The only “exile” that POS endured was a self-imposed one. He walked out on his last year with the 49ers.
Kap for waterboy! FTW.
You beat me to it.
How old is Kaepernick? He must be 40 by now and hasn’t taken a snap in 20 years. lol
I’d like to see him get a haircut.
Someone please film this lame a@@hole who used race (a dubious claim) to continue to force privately owned teams in the league to hire his piss poor talents— just because.
the Millenial race card hiring clause-— the clause because, and you got’s to pay sucka! And the stupid owners roll with it under legal “expertise”. To save them the “expense” not realizing that the public has had enough— a public of any race has had enough with no talent blackmailers (pun intended).
Might expose the large EMPTY hole between his ears
