Ohio man charged with plot to assassinate former President George W. Bush
ABC ^ | 5/25/22 | Luke Barr

"Shihab told [Confidential Source 1] that the four Iraqi nationals Shihab wanted to smuggle into the United States are planning to kill former president George W. Bush," the complaint said.

He repeatedly made claims to a separate confidential source that he'd be able to get a fake passport and be able to smuggle that source's brother through the U.S.-Mexico border. He said an upfront payment between $10,000 and $40,000 was to be made in order to smuggle people in.

The U.S. Secret Service said it was prepared to handle any threat to the president.

"The U.S. Secret Service takes all threats to our protectees seriously," it said in a statement to ABC News. "In order to maintain operational security, the Secret Service does not discuss the means and methods used to conduct our protective operations or matters of protective intelligence."

"President Bush has all the confidence in the world in the United States Secret Service and our law enforcement and intelligence communities," said Freddy Ford, a spokesman for Bush.

Please say why you believe Bush is a war criminal.

"I never claimed to support “Muslim terrorists”. I simply claimed to not support war criminals like Bush."

So you just agree with Muslim terrorists that Bush was a war criminal that should be assassinated. Got it.

Get ready for a lot of liberal BS talking points from those who were for it before they were against it.

“Meaning you support Muslim terrorists killing a former leader who retaliated against Muslim jihad, and as if this made him a bigger terrorist?”

_________________________________________________________

I’ll remind you of the Iraq war that we now know, yes we now know beyond a shadow of a doubt, Bush, Powell, etc, lied and knew they were lying about the WMD’s being there. That’s pretty terrorizing. 4,400 American soldiers killed and 32,000 wounded on their lies.

I’ll also align myself with Durbin’s comment in 7.

I do not know if Bush, Powell, etc, lied and knew they were lying beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I do not think it was warranted on that basis and had oil not been a driving force than the gulf wars would not have taking place, and the 2nd one left Iran without the Iraq threat, thus helping Iran in another proxy war with Russia.

But that does not make Bush a terrorist who should be assassinated 20 years after attacking Muslim terrorism, which was warranted, while the "terrorizing 4,400 American soldiers" is like liberal propaganda when they oppose Republicans engaging in conflicts like they do. And actually the military suffered very few fatalities while obtaining valuable experience in avoiding such. How old are you?

Nope, but I do agree with our own “leaders” definition of what a war criminal is. But it’s apparent you still buy into the “You’re either with them or you’re with us” rhetoric that gave our “leaders” the excuse to drop more than 350,000 bombs on 7 countries over 2 decades. He also spearheaded the effort to give our own intelligence community the power they currently have over us to be able to indefinitely detain American citizens as they see fit. But hey, as long as we don’t see it, there’s nothing wrong with it.

" Terrorists trying to kill an even bigger terrorist. Am I the only one who wishes we would just let it play out? "

“So you just agree with Muslim terrorists that Bush was a war criminal that should be assassinated. Got it.”

"Nope,"

Well, you did call Bush a war criminal and wish that assassination went forward. Sounds like agreement even if not for the same reasons.

"“You’re either with them or you’re with us” rhetoric that gave our “leaders” the excuse to drop more than 350,000 bombs on 7 countries over 2 decades." Or at least 181,590 bombs at targets in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria from 2007 to 2021, counting i assume all sizes while Israel reportedly (if you believe the UN) dropped 350,000 cluster bombs on southern Lebanon in a much smaller time.

And yet no country has ever engaged in such successful precision targeting of military targets as the US. However, at issue is the liberal fantasy that the spread of US military bases is wholly unnecessary, and strikes on such countries as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria are unwarranted, and that if the US would simply engage in isolationism, and not counter Communist and Islamic expansionism then the world would be peaceful. Or that America would not be threatened by it. Or at least it must have pure motives before engaging in military action. I do not subscribe to all that, though I do not think Vietnam or the second gulf war was warranted, but that Communist and Islamic expansionism must be opposed with a better military, vs. the Wokism now infecting it. But that as America is increasingly at war with God, it is inviting defeat by the sword of its enemies.

LOL. Dude literally invaded 2 different countries that did nothing to us and it has resulted in millions of deaths. It has nothing to do with my agreement with Muslim terrorists. It has everything to do my understanding of what a war criminal is.

If really think Iraq and Afghanistan did nothing warranting war and that the US is responsible for millions of innocent deaths that otherwise would have lived, and did not work to deliver nations from oppression, and save millions of lives, spending billions to do so, and attempting ensure peace, and that Bush was thus a war criminal who is worthy to be assassinated almost 20 years after this began, then I do not think you are judging history objectively. Seems too much like Howard Zinn.

What did Afghanistan and Iraq do that warranted war? Last time I checked, If the government was even truthful about it, Al Qaeda and their couple hundred members hiding in the mountains attacked us on 9/11, not the Taliban and Afghanistan. And Bush lied to get us into Iraq. But “Mission Accomplished” for their war buddies. Right?

Do you understand what complicity means? Terrorists harboring terrorists, and which seek the violent overthrow of America, and its only real Middle East ally. Otherwise the Taliban would have handed over or worked with America in getting Bin Lain etc. Unless America should have just ignored fundy Islam and Communism, then it used too much restraint in combating it due to liberalism, which also is a major threat to the US, as is fundy Islam is Communism. And to ignore them as isolationists advocate is a death sentence, as is warring against God, which is the most fundamental problem.

LOL. So because the Taliban told us no, we got mad, made them our new enemies, invaded and occupied an entire country, then handed it back over to our made up enemies after 20 years. And you still think any of that was justified. SMFH.

A logically fallacy. The Taliban were already enemies, as they are today, and opposed the capture of the mass murderer Bin Laden, and how liberals conduct a war and retreat from it does not mean the decision to go to war was wrong. But again, as I expressed, this does not mean the second gulf war was wise, but that this decision and attacking the Taliban does not justly make Bush a war criminal, and again, no nation in such a war engaged in such precision bombing versus indiscriminate bombing of civilians. But your measure what war-time President would not be a a war criminal? Supporting abortion rights does make one complicit in murder however.

“The Taliban were already enemies”

LOL. Why? Because they don’t like us? Where are they in that long line of people and countries that don’t like us? Is everyone our enemies if they don’t support us? Let me guess. If you don’t support our efforts in Ukraine, then you support Putin. Or is that different?

We were already fighting the Taliban through our support for the Northern Alliance, just as our support for Ukraine means we have made Russia our enemy.

Why would the Taliban help us get Bin Laden when we were already at war with them?

Made made Russia our enemy? Russia has been our enemy since at least 1945, against which we have been fighting proxy wars since, from Vietnam and to Ukraine as Russia sought to expand. Liberals used to blame America for such proxy wars and fantasize that if America sat passively by then peace would reign, but now conservative libertarians seem to have taken their place, while they oppose despotic dictator/invader plutonium Putin because he is not a team player in their quest for world dominion, for which they now even see Communism as a threat to. Both are anti-Christ and are to be opposed by true Christians.

"Why would the Taliban help us get Bin Laden when we were already at war with them?"

You are missing the context of the statement, which was in response to the argument that attacking the wannabe world dictators was part of Bush being a war criminal.
