Here's a Three-Word Policy That's Been Effective in Stopping School Shootings

The border city of Uvalde, Texas is mourning. Salvador Ramos, 18, shot and killed 19 fourth-grade students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School. They were all in one classroom. It’s a heinous crime. It’s a Sandy Hook-like situation. Ramos shot his grandmother before this rampage. The grandmother is said to have survived. We’re going to hear an earful about gun control, so-called assault weapons bans, and other anti-gun talking points from Democrats. And the result will always be the same—Americans will not torch their rights to appease a political class lusting for more power and control, especially after the COVID lockdown fiasco. NONE of the COVID protocols were effective. The lockdowns did next to nothing to reduce the mortality rate. The one policy that has been effective is having police officers at schools.

School resource officers is not a new policy. Sandy Hook adopted it after Adam Lanza’s equally evil shooting in Newtown back in 2012. It’s backed by the National Rifle Association. It has a proven track record. For years, we’ve had stories of these brave officers stopping would-be school shooters. Does it stop all of them? No, some manage to pop off a few shots but the level of carnage is not catastrophic when SROs are present.

There are armed guards at the gates of the Malibu colony.
There are armed guards at the Oscars.
There are armed guards at the Stephen Colbert show.

“Guns for teachers”?

Train and arm the teachers so they can protect themselves and their students.

Chances are that, if any of the murdered teachers had a gun, that most of the killed students (perhaps all of them) would still be alive today.

There are probably armed TSA agents on every flight,
you just don’t know they are there.

Repeal Biden’s abysmal failure of a federal law that created gun free school zones. Arm teachers, teach them how and when to shoot. Not everyone needs to be armed and no teacher needs to be forced to have the training.

We have been at war for 20 years. There is a bumper crop of well trained veterans and many of them are fathers of the school kids.

We cannot undo the damage done to the nutcases with the tranny pedo agenda, grooming teachers, the SSRI drugs, and the pervasive hate for America taught to these kids. That would be a project that spanned a generation.

The answer is to utterly refuse to give school principals and educators a vote in this matter. They have clearly failed. Most teachers are soft and there as nurturing mom types. You wouldn’t send your mom out to a shootout with a killer.

We have a bumper crop of men who would charge TOWARDS the gunfire. Every school should have two men with rifles making a presence. This bullshit needs to stop. The “professional” educators need to be told to sit down and shut up on this manner.

And maybe instead of 40 billion for Ukraine, we should upgrade doors, etc in schools and harden things a little.

This needs to be in place WHILE we start to sift through the trannies and nuts... and do the generation pace work of stopping the destruction.

The time has come for the nurturing therapeutic female mentality on the schools to be dropped by the wayside.

Train and arm the maintenance personnel. They are the eyes and ears of the schools.

Have the Democrats called the shooter a “white Hispanic” yet?

They have no shame.

As any cop will tell you, they do not shoot to kill. They shoot to stop the threat. That means putting bullets into the big center mass of the body, the chest. Putting bullets in chests is very likely to lead to death, but the goal is to stop what they are doing. Their death is merely a by product of that, not the “goal” per se. The proof of that is that when they are dumped, a professional department has it’s officers begin first air on the downed bandit.

To that end of stopping them, it’s chest and head.
There is no place in that business for leg shots and other lunacy. It isn’t even worth the risk. So essentially yes, it’s “shoot to kill”, even though technically that is not the goal.

I agree with the posts that qualify, train and arm teachers. They don’t have to pack, but the fact that no one knows whether they do or not is enough to deter mass murder. A single school resource officer could simply be the first target. In any neighborhood, a random burglar or meth addict has doubts about which houses are armed. This protects the whole neighborhood, even the anti-gun nuts. I see a lot of bumper stickers that say “This truck or this house is protected by Smith & Wesson”. I don’t see any houses that say “This home is a gun-free zone”. And yet, we say just that at our kids’ school. This is nuts!

Most school boards aren’t interested in solutions like resource officers. They are infinitely more interested in creating an environment that produces individuals like the Salvador Ramos.

Hey! That’s not a common-sense gun control law! That’s just common sense! Absolutely not./s

Very true, and also widespread pot, porn, violent TV movies and video games, and kinds of dope. The list of damaging things to our kids is long.

Time to stop going to the root cause and harden the target. Then we can do what we can in threat mitigation. There needs to be dad patrols, with ARs at the schools. In the halls, walking a post like a lance corporal on guard duty.

The kids and parents will be relieved at the sight of them. And not with a giant federal bureaucracy, not under the whimsical rules of the principal, etc. We need to create a reasonable expectation that walking into attack a school will have you under IMMEDIATE attack by two guys who walked in Fallujah.
