Ukraine’s president said Wednesday that Russia must pull back to its pre-war positions as a first step before diplomatic talks, a negotiating line that Moscow is unlikely to agree to anytime soon.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he currently sees no willingness on the part of Russia to resume earnest negotiations on ending the three-month war.
“At the beginning, there was an impression that we can move ahead, that there would be a certain result or some outcome of those talks. But it all has stalled,” Zelenskyy said through an interpreter by video link to attendees at this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The loser doesn’t get to demand anything.
“The loser doesn’t get to demand anything.”
Indeed. Putin needs to accept he has no path to victory. The longer he waits the worse position he will be in.
Criminal Stupidity.....

Okay. Explain what Putin’s path to victory is?
What are the Russians able to accomplish that will force Ukraine to give up the fight.
They are still smoking the fentanyl-laced hopium.
Well, Russia could go back to their 1915 borders.
That is pre-2022 war

Victory.
He’s a real comedian.
1) Russia can eradicate and vapourize the Uke Army.
2) Russia can de-nazify the brainwashed, predominately in eastern Ukraine
Putin won in the first weeks of the war. Your media syncophants lost,,,,,Russia owns the Black Sea now....
Exactly . Cheers from Japan !

I'm suspicious of both sides. Putin is an old-school Soviet apparatchik. Some try to make him the next Hitler....I think he's the next Mussolini, in that he's trying to bring back a long-dead empire. Like Mussolini's Italian troops, today's Russians have no stomach for it.
Zelensky is just as bad. They're trying to make him the next Churchill. I tend to agree, if you remember that Churchill also devised the Gallipoli invasion, re-drew the Middle East on a napkin, and was brutal towards Indian Independence.
Until someone can convince me differently, my philosophy is "Not my circus, not my monkeys".
Russia has survived and even thrived in light of the massive sanctions, global inflation, food shortages, etc. Putin sees no reason to increase his war pressure to get what he wants. NATO and EU have played all their cards and failed.
“1) Russia can eradicate and vapourize the Uke Army.
2) Russia can de-nazify the brainwashed, predominately in eastern Ukraine”
And three months later they still havent done that.
It was said by several Putards here going way back in March that there were 60K Ukie troops surrounded in the Donbas and are going to surrender or get slaughtered....yawn...
Uh, Russia has kind of always owned the Black Sea. So what? It doesn’t give them access to the med without turkeys permission, and it didn’t save their sinking flagship, Moskva.
It seems like you have no understanding of this war.
Are you seriously swallowing this as a war winning strategy from the Russians:
1) Step 1 - Give up 100 miles around Kharkiv
2) Step 2 Gain 50 miles in the Donbass
3) Step 3 - ????
4) Step 4 - Ukraine surrenders, despite having 90% of their territory and army intact
