A Border Patrol agent is being credited with killing the gunman in a deadly mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday.
An anonymous law enforcement official told the Associated Press that an agent rushed into Robb Elementary School without waiting for backup. The Border Patrol agent shot and killed the gunman, who was hiding behind a barricade, this source said. The as-yet-unidentified agent was wounded but able to walk out of the school, the source added.
Border Patrol sources told Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin that the agent believed to have shot and killed the gunman was part of an "elite" tactical unit and had entered the school with a team while Texas law enforcement officials were engaged with the shooter.
"I’m told that that BORTAC agent went in with his technical group with other agents. They formed a stacking maneuver while Texas law enforcement was engaged with the shooter, who was barricaded," Melugin reported to Fox News host Tucker Carlson. "They came in from opposite sides. The BORTAC agent ended up exchanging gunfire with the shooter, killed the shooter, and I am told that the agent was injured in his leg. They are trying to figure out if he was shot in the leg or hit by shrapnel."

Yesterday I saw a photo of a tall thin man in jeans with a protective vest on striding towards the school. He has a serious rifle with him. I think this was the Border Agent. He was off duty but has weaponry in the trunk.

Most wanted him dead. Forensics/profilers would have preferred he were alive.
The concept of profiling these mass murderers was finally mentioned — at least on FOX. Mind boggling how the driving mental issues have been ignored. Kinda makes one wonder about the decades of disregard — intentional?
Recall the Rats’ Buffalo antics. They never mentioned the neglected mental illness.
Compare this to the cop who was waiting outside of the Parkland, Florida school while the shooting was taking place.
That wasn’t just one cop. It was that whole Broward County force (Sheriff Israel’s). It took LEs from another city to come and spur them on into any kind of action at all, IIRC.
The shooter definitely had some ammo with him. Shot and killed 19 plus others, then had ammo to hold off police. Of course, 2 thirty round mags might be enough to accomplish that. If he had a handgun it doesn’t sound like it was his only firearm.

The guy was a transvestite/transgender whatever the eff you call them. He was certifiably nuts. Thirty years ago he would have been sent off to the nuthouse years before he got a chance to kill 19 people but today we hold parades for these lunatics and call them brave.
This is what happens when the public school system teaches people like this that it's OK to lopp off their genitals instead of getting them the psychiatric help they need.

Why do we have elite border patrol when all they are allowed to do is to, effectively, escort illegals to their new home in the US?

Looks like the country took a lesson at Columbine, where cops were ordered to shelter behind their cars for hours while students bled out.
I asked to be allowed to conceal carry while teaching. I also suggested that all schools should be enclosed in high, well-built fencing. Was treated poorly over those issues years ago. Unforgiveable in light of events of recent years.

Where was the school security staff during this event??? If they were present, were any armed. Here in NY weapons on school grounds are VERBOTTEN, even if you a retired or active police officer!!!!

Living on the border, I see many and meet a few Border Patrol Agents. To a person, I have found them to be Great American Patriots. Interesting thing, about border agents in Arizona, they seem to be majority Hispanic. All doing a hard dangerous job, with more hinderance than help from Washington.
Another fact, if I am eating in the same restaurant with a border agent, I guarantee his/her meal is on me.
Why was CBP operating in Uvalde, 54 miles from the border?
Unless the story that the shooter was “born in North Dakota” is a lot of hooey.
