Pollyanna Inc.’s new “Racial Literacy Curriculum” for high school students injects a Critical Race Theory lens and radical far-left politics into several major subjects of study, including English, Math, History, Biology, and Art.

At a leaked “implementation seminar” held on May 5, project manager Julia Kingsdale led prospective teachers and administrators through each of the 65 lessons of the curriculum, many of which not only rely on activist scholarship, but involve assignments directing students to becoming activists themselves.

Whether it concerns immigration, climate change, prison reform, income inequality, the curriculum is a cornucopia of political litmus tests, where every subject is exploited as an vector to promote policies popular with the AOC wing of the Democratic Party.

Every lesson is grounded in the tenets of Critical Race Theory–that systemic racism undergirds every aspect of society, and accounts for all disparities between racialized groups. The curriculum is designed to be used whole or in part, but if fully implemented throughout a given school, a student could find themselves spending a full calendar year working through the material.

I would say that it's time to homeschool. But the sad reality is that for every homeschooler, there's going to be 10,000 who will get this in their failing public school or their elite private school. Even if you pay mountain for your child's education, you likely are going to encounter this or something very similar.

The real point is that when these children come of age, this will be the norm.

As a middle-aged person I remember older workers fearing younger ones taking their jobs; that dynamic is gone. The will and the knowledge aren’t there...

I agree, have recently thought the same thing about the military, this is not my Marine Corps of the 1980s. If we do have to place boots on the ground anywhere the results will not be the same as it has been in the past for the same reason the will, the required sacrifice and the knowledge are not there.

You can say that again. A new young factory worker at my workplace was shocked by how the tech oriented factory workers we are there are all older than 50 for the most part. He called it a geriatric crew at first but soon respected the abilities.

Look up “curriculum in schools in Nazi Germany” and then look at this; they are almost the same word for word.

Car mechanics are in a similar situation, and some older ones are relieved; they can’t imagine enduring the training for some of the new features on vehicles when they are already over 60 years old. An older mechanic I know believes the private shops will all be out of business in a few years (as older cars disappear); most of the work on newer cars must be done at dealerships (due not just to tech involved, but warranties). He didn’t think the future buyer of his shop would operate it as a garage.

While the military dresses it up as recruiting for a “new type of warfare”, the fact is that outside of certain units, many soldiers are not prepared for a ground war away from a lot of comforts. I’d read that the military had stopped issuing mess kits 20 years ago; the idea that a soldier would be preparing his own meals in the field seems to be out the window. I know MREs have heat tabs that allow packages to be heated up (activated with water), but that only works as long as those MREs are available in the field.

Maybe the military just understands that the days of sending most ground forces out away from bases are over.

I also believe that while the MOLLE concept of load-bearing equipment is a huge improvement over the ALICE system (which was too much one-size-fits-all), it has allowed the military to dress up smaller, weaker people with lighter loads. It is definitely more suited for mobile warfare in which soldiers will be deployed in vehicles or helicopters, but that limits the loads considerably/ties them to that hardware.
