Aaaaaaah, so your son got hooked in to it too, huh? LOL That should speed things up a bit.
Or make her decide to double down and add to the list. LOL
It was slooooooow at the museum this weekend, probably because it was so hot and everyone headed out to one of the lakes for some fun.
One of the women who works there took a box of letters her father had written to her while he was in the Solomon Islands during WWII and we read those since we had free time. They were fun to read.
The coming weekend won’t be as hot but it’ll be pretty. I hope we’ll still have some folks stop by.
So far, the Tornado Warning box on the weather radar is headed straight for us.
Noooo. Make it go away!
I’d love to just get some rain!
Howdy, luvie.
Did you ever get any rain today?
Whoopie-ding!!!!!
so, how was the flight?
Hey there, radu!
Not. A. Drop. I’m so disappointed, but at least we aren’t getting tornadoes like the Lubbock area is. And it was semi-cool today which is a plus.
Did you get more rain today?
MINE!
MINE!
MINE!
Darn the luck!!! I hoped you get a little something at least. I know what it feels like to need rain and get passed up time and time again. We haven’t gone without for as long as you have though.
Yes, we did get a good, long soaking overnight and today. The next three days we’ll have waves of rain and storms come through, then we dry off for a couple of days.
I saw there were nasty storms and tornado warnings up in the panhandle earlier tonight. At least, for the moment, that mess has calmed down a touch.
Determination pays off. LOL!
It’s yours, PRO. WOOHOO!
WooHoo! Snagged! You caught us not paying attention. LOL
I’m glad it’s calming down. I have friends in Lubbock and would sure hate them to have a tornado to contend with.
I’m soooo jealous of your rain. LOL!
Yeah, I wasn’t paying attention at all. Distracted by tent grave videos for a bit, then found a guy who goes to haunted places at night. Watching him at a cemetery somewhere in CT at the moment.
I could hang out with this guy. LOL
For their sake, I’m glad things calmed down too. I love wild storms and tornados but at the same time I hate the devastation.
I understand your jealousy. I’ve felt it more times than I can count. It’s nice to finally have some good fortune for the farmers.
And maybe Hubby will burn the huge pile of tree debris in the field behind the house. I’m tired of looking at it.
Can you burn it when it’s raining? Well, I guess the rain does mean that the fire hazard is reduced, huh.
I hope I never see a tornado like some of the ones the chasers video. Or at all. They are the source of a lot of my childhood nightmares. LOL!
Yeah...those tent graves are very interesting and very Tennessee evidently.
How's everyone doing this morning?
No, can’t burn it just now since it’ll rain the next three days. But by Saturday, it’ll be ready to go and we won’t burn down the whole area. We’re responsible fire bugs. LOL
My dream is to ride with a storm chaser out west where you can see for miles. That’s a dream that won’t be reality though. Brandon’s my top choice because he gets close to so many.
I’m glad you found that tent grave video you sent the link to. I’d never heard of them or seen them. They seem to be primarily in the mountainous areas. The one you sent the link to is maybe 3 hours from here and would be a nice day trip to check out in person. But not with gas prices like they are now. Maybe one day though. Those are cool bits of history.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Did you get to take Gizmo to the lake yesterday or did rain ruin your plans?
