Ahhhh, that’s a beautiful crop of corn! It will be even more beautiful when it hides the road. That rain will make it shoot up so fast! You could probably pull up a chair and watch it grow. LOL!
It’s really going to be mostly pleasant till the next weekend. 98 on Friday, then 102, 104, 101 and 99. I plan to enjoy every minute that we have that’s under 95. LOL! They are now showing rain about 50 miles to the SW of us but watch it split before it reaches us. Happens. Every. Time.
How's everyone this morning?
It really is pretty now that it’s tall enough to hide the dead grasses and weeds that were killed off earlier. The field across the road still has nothing but dead stuff because that guy is a bit behind us in planting. That’ll soon be hidden, too, and it will all be green in the view.
But at the rate our corn’s growing, the view across the road will be blocked before his corn is up enough to be visible.
You can have your 90s. LOL That’s way too hot for comfort. Our highest this week will be 84 or so and that’s about my limit. Over that, I’m uncomfortable.
I saw the rain SW of you earlier when I had the radar up. I sure hope that reaches you and doesn’t pass south of you.
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
It looked like you and Gizmo had a great time at the lake yesterday. Beautiful weather for your romp.
It was and weather permitting (There’s rain in the forecast for today) we will do our final trip for the weekend to the lake later today.
You made me stop and think for a second. LOL I’ve never heard anyone consider Monday part of the weekend.
I hope you get some rain, but not at the time you head off to the lake. I know you haven’t had much rain lately and can use it.
I love seeing everything green. Our yard is finally looking pretty good, except for all the patches that have lost grass. The St. Augustine is creeping slowly to cover a lot of that.
I haven’t heard a peep from thunder or sprinkles. And Ginger hasn’t begged to get in yet, so probably no rain.
I guess I’ll finish up this show and head out. See ya tomorrow. Enjoy your rain. The slow kind is the best.
I love seeing everything green too. The corn looks great but the yard looks a little sad right now. A lot of brown due to the lack of rain but it’ll green up again this week.
The rain down there is still SW of you but it does look like it’s going to scoot past under you. :-(
We had a short break in the rain but it’s raining again now. It looks like it’s going to continue for a while. This is exactly what I’ve been praying for - - a system to come up from the Gulf. It’s the only way we get good, soaking rains here.
I guess this is the Gulf moisture Mark Sudduth predicted last week. :-)
Sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow.
The farmers here don’t grow corn for ethanol. They grow it for livestock feed. Prices are still up for corn in general, though, and that’s probably why our guy went with it this year rather than cotton.
Livestock don’t eat, we don’t eat.
Well, that’s certainly important too! Glad that they chose well this year...and I’m sure your and Bella’s sinuses are, too. LOL!
See ya later. It’s naptime! WooHoo!!
Thanks, unique.
