Micro-managing his failing offensive, top advisors frozen out and food tasters to guard against would-be assassins. No, it's not Adolf Hitler in 1945. Professor MARK GALEOTTI examines the madness and paranoia inside Vladimir Putin's isolated bunker
Daily Mail (U.K.) ^ | May 20, 2022 | Mark Galeotti

Some years ago, I lived on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, one of the wide, radial roads that leads into central Moscow — and the favoured route of President Vladimir Putin’s motorcade to the Kremlin.

Putin never liked travelling in helicopters so the 18-vehicle extravaganza, including outriders, an ambulance and a string of gleaming, black limousines with tinted glass, was a familiar sight.

Around 45 minutes before it passed, the road would be sealed — and I mean sealed. A security man was stationed in the doorway of my apartment building preventing residents from leaving.

The Russian president has always been security conscious, but today, on the losing side of his ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine for which he has only himself to blame, Putin is more paranoid than ever.

He rarely ventures even into his office at the Kremlin now, preferring to do business from his grand, yellow-painted, pillared mansion on his summer estate, Novo-Ogaryovo, in an exclusive suburb popular with rock stars and oligarchs just west of Moscow.

People come to him if and when he wants to see them. And increasingly, he doesn’t.

He has his staff, his bodyguards, his team of food tasters and so on, but for months senior ministers, advisers and aides with whom he would once frequently consult, have been kept at a distance. The pandemic facilitated this — but he shows no sign of wanting to change the status quo.

Liz Truss personally approved this piece of agitprop swill by Galeotti the propaganda tool.

Peter Hitchens Column Saturday April 30, 2022

"In the United Kingdom, a DSMA-Notice (Defense and Security Media Advisory Notice) is an official request to news editors not to publish or broadcast items on specified subjects for reasons of national security..."

British journalist Peter Hitchens, the contrarian conservative journalist and outspoken defender of British tradition and traditional values including a Christian aversion to war, now finds himself constrained in his work by a government order.

This means that the Brit journopuppets who ARE writing about Ukraine are writing government-approved pieces.

And the government is firmly behind Ukraine...

It's a shame that he shot his bibliography in the @ss by writing propaganda for the Brit government.

You can't trust a word he writes.

I suppose he thought he was doing his bit for the corrupt Ukie cause.

“Lusitania” refers to Portugal. The old Roman name for the place became the classically referencing alternate name. Its like when people refer to French things as “gallic”, after the Gauls.

There was a fad for such names at the time, especially for ocean liners. It lent an exotic, adventurous tone to the idea of foreign travel.

Thats why, say, the Portuguese poet Camoes called his national epic, about the Portuguese conquests in Asia, the “Lusiads”. He deliberately intended his 16th century poetry to be seen in the same light as classical epic poetry.

Pffft. I have heard from several FReepers that Putin often goes out to ride horses, bears and dragons shirtless on regular occasions.

So according to you:

Lying your way into a war like Iraq, using WMD lies, leading to a million civilian deaths and the extermination of Iraqi Christendom is just fine, because G.W. Bush and the neocons were nominal Republicans.

BTW, I’m currently up to my eyeballs (& have been for a while) working hard on an epic upcoming Dangerous History Podcast mini-series on World War I propaganda in the US. Stay tuned!

I want to view or listen to this.

Do you remember how the Tedlims were banned late-winter 2016?

They were organizing off-site, advertising on other sites how to ruin FR, frantically trolling with new sign-ups and old reactivated sockpuppet accounts.

Then the Tedlims started attacking the Admins, and then the Tedlims started attacking the owners -- and one Putlim has already struck that match earlier this week.

The Tedlim purge took 4 days -- one weekend and the early part of the next week. New-signup trolls, sockpuppets, monthlies, hall-of-famers -- they all got the ZOT.

Putlims are kneepadding global communism in their felching of nothing more than another soon-to-be-dead Soviet Premiere; Putlims have nothing to do with constitutional conservatism; and more to the point, Putlims are actively attempting to destroy the mission statement of this website.

You're just another dumb Freeptard completely unaware that everything you've ever put on this website is an invitation to be punked. Own it.

What's yer point, StAn?

Some of my FR article posts made the Drudge Report front and center a couple of times back in early '98 after he dropped the Lewinsky bomb and wiped out "Spikey" Isikoff's free lunches.

I can rest on my laurels, unlike these wet-behind-the-ears Johnny-Come-Latelys.

BTW, I could give you some tips on FR archive deep dives if I felt like it. I have about half the original posts that got deleted after the WP-LATimes kangaroo suit back in the day. I was watching that muttonhead FlushBoy flail around trying to prove that some poster had lain dormant for 5-10 years before his first post. What a maroon!
