"During more than 40 years of active journalism, including a stint as a defence reporter, I have never once been prevented from writing anything by a so-called "D" Notice (nowadays they are officially called DSMA notices, if you care), until now. I used to scoff when people told me that such things were common, or that I was constrained in reporting by them. Now I cannot"-

Peter Hitchens Column Saturday April 30, 2022

"In the United Kingdom, a DSMA-Notice (Defense and Security Media Advisory Notice) is an official request to news editors not to publish or broadcast items on specified subjects for reasons of national security..."

Wikipedia Article On "DSMA-Notice"

British journalist Peter Hitchens, the contrarian conservative journalist and outspoken defender of British tradition and traditional values including a Christian aversion to war, now finds himself constrained in his work by a government order.

The order comes amidst the conflict in Ukraine which increasingly concerns Mr. Hitchens who was able to write and publish this regarding he situation in his weekly column this weekend.

"It is time to ask some very simple questions about the Ukraine crisis, which each day threatens to spread, very dangerously indeed.

I never really believed there was a nuclear danger in the Cold War, which I lived through. Now it think there is one.

Though this country is not actually at war with Russia, and has no defence treaty with Ukraine, politicians and other supporters of this conflict often refer to "we" when discussing it.

Who is this "we"? What British national interest is served by deeper involvement in what is at root a Russo-American war? Must we again be the fifth wheel in America's cart?

How much are you prepared to pay in taxes for the munitions we send? If, as is horribly possible...

Censorship and war go together like a horse and carriage.

Once the plutocrats decide to go to war it is time to end all pretense of paying attention to the unwashed masses.

:-(

Just posted this on another thread; fits here too:

The U.S. is financing most of this war by proxy for Ukraine to the tune of $30+ billion dollars of taxpayers’ money, and more to come. The Biden regime has figured out that spending even more of our Country’s money up and making America poorer is a desirable outcome according to the Communist doctrine of leveling society down to one low common denominator, both financially and socially. Then in their Utopian world, everyone will be equal, equally poor that is...

There will be no middle class, just the peons and the elites who of course will have all the power and money under a Dem dictatorship. Doubt me at your own peril because this is what is happening. As the war drags on and on, how many more billions is our Country going to be willing to shell out, and believe me our “allies” are all talk and very little ponying up of money to finance this Ukrainian/Russian war. Why should they when they know the sucker, good old Uncle Sugar, will shell out the necessary financing.

When we can least afford to do so because of inflation and the insane Biden regime spending, along with their disastrous energy policy and supply chain breakdowns everywhere and for everything, Biden is going to spend billions more to keep the war going; never to win it, rather in order to further bankrupt our Country. They have incorporated the war in Ukraine as part of their master plan to destroy America as we know it.

Anyone have a link to his recent articles?

He must have said something really true to draw this kind of censorship attention.

If it was false would they bother?

I agree with your post.

However, Putin has no intention on being bled to death in an endless war of attrition with the West.

That is why he is threatening to use nuclear weapons.

Those are very serious threats, and should be taken very seriously.

The idiots in DC may be about to make the biggest cluster&^%$ of all time.

Hitchens: “What British national interest is served by deeper involvement in what is at root a Russo-American war?”

How is this war Russo-American any more than Russo-British?

In fact, Putin seems to have it out for Britain more than the US. He used polonium and Novichok to murder people on British soil, Russian state media has selectively mentioned London as a nuclear target several times, and there have been lots of random comments and threats to Britain from Russia.

One reason for the “measures” (as the Brits call them) would be that they monitored his communications and found out he had specific damaging information that he had not yet released.

In that case his past articles would not be helpful.

Britain is easy pickings for Putin.

One nuke in metro London and they are out of the game.

That is why the Brits should stop pretending they are a serious player and stop poking the bear.

But—the current Brit leadership just can’t help themselves...they keep thinking that the sun never sets on their empire when it fact it just never sets on their propaganda empire.

The neocons/globalists are running the January 6th play on the Russians - creating fictional "news" about the Russians losing so badly that they'll have to use chemical weapons/tactical nukes to "beat" Ukraine.

Then, they'll unleash a false flag like they did at the Capitol, and use their Media machine to blame the Russians.

Only the victim of the frame job this time has actual nuclear weapons, and can't be made to kneel before Globalist Zod...

But wait!

Obama's stooge-judge, Chief Stooge of the DC District Court Beryl Howell, will issue a planetary injunction against the Russians!!

Take that, Putin!!

If they nuked London, Moscow would be gone before the radiation hits the fan. Probably St. Petersburg too. They're not going to bomb London.

Tactical nukes on the battlefield are another matter, as would be the nuclear bombing of Kiev or a city in some other non-NATO county. The response to that isn't quite so obvious. Hopefully the US has competent military planners not beholden to the Biden administration.

That is why the Brits should stop pretending they are a serious player and stop poking the bear.

They didn't poke the bear. The bear poked them, and the world in general.

If Russia gets away with their poking, they'll keep on doing it, and our grandchildren will be leaving in a world run by the Russians and the Chinese.
