Elon Musk calls out old Clinton campaign tweet as ‘hoax,’ asks Twitter for answers

Elon Musk called out an old Hillary Clinton tweet as a “hoax” Friday after a Twitter user flagged it for misleading disinformation and was ignored.

The tweet, written Oct. 31, 2016 during Clinton’s failed presidential campaign, is a statement issued in response to a news report about an alleged secret server at Trump Tower that was being used to covertly communicate with Russia.

“Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank,” Clinton wrote in the tweet alongside the statement issued by one of her then-top aides, Jake Sullivan.

A Twitter user tagged Musk in the message and wrote that they’ve reported it “as misleading disinformation” to the company but it was never taken down and does not have a warning label attached to it.

“I would be interested to know if, when you receive control over the company, anything was done with this at any level. Pls advise soonest,” the user wrote to Musk.

The Tesla CEO responded that they were “absolutely correct.”

“That tweet is a Clinton campaign hoax for which their campaign lawyer is undergoing a criminal trial,” Musk wrote, linking to a BBC story about the trial of Michael Sussman, Clinton’s 2016 campaign attorney.

“.@paraga and @vijaya, what say you?” Musk wrote, tagging Parag Agrawal, Twitter’s CEO, and Vijaya Gadde, the company’s Legal, Policy and Trust Lead.

Sussman is accused of lying to the FBI when he met with an agent about former President Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Russia and prosecutors say he “manipulated” the agency in a misbegotten bid to snag the election.

Another interesting email that was sent on October 31, 2016, same day as Hillary’s, was from Obama to Putin...

From Newsmax:

>
President Barack Obama reportedly told Russian President Vladimir Putin in October that directly interfering with the U.S. election could result in an “armed conflict.”
>
According to NBC News, Obama opted to use the red phone to contact Moscow directly, a communication system that dates back to the Cold War. It’s not an actual telephone, but instead sends a secure email message between the two countries.
>
“International law, including the law for armed conflict, applies to actions in cyberspace,” part of the Oct. 31 message read, according to NBC. “We will hold Russia to those standards.”

Oct 31, 2016 bump

Incidentally, Oct 31, 2016 is the day the story came out, sourced to the NYPD, that Clinton had a barge load of fireworks on order for her coronation.

I don’t care.

She fooled kind hearted people who want a peaceful life.

Is it possible, since this wasn’t an in-person conversation, but rather a new kind of “red phone” communication, an email type message, that someone with cybersecurity access (like the Neustar contractor) could have sent a message through that system and made it look like it came from Obama?

Reportedly this updated system had never been used to communicate with Russia before. Could that have been the “DARPA contract” that Neustar was given by the Obama Admin... updating the White House red phone system?

Yet another weird Oct 31, 2016 item, concerning the forced resignation of some NY Times reporters... :

To: mandaladon; Whenifhow
re. Eric Lichtblau, DC editor of the CNN Investigative Team

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Lichtblau

Controversy[edit]
On October 31, 2016, the New York Times published an article by Lichtblau and Steven Lee Myers indicating that intelligence agencies believed that Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential Election was not aimed at electing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.[6] It was subsequently revealed that multiple United States intelligence agencies were conducting an investigation at the time into covert aid from the Kremlin to the Trump campaign.[7][8] This has led to criticism of the New York Times coverage of the election, and speculation that the Times reporting, and the Lichtblau article in particular, contributed to Trump’s victory.[9] On January 20, 2017, the New York Times published an article by the public editor acknowledging that the Times staff, including the editors and Lichtblau, had access to materials and details indicating that the Russian interference was aimed at electing Donald Trump, contradicting the October 31 Lichtblau article, and stating that “a strong case can be made that The Times was too timid in its decisions not to publish the material it had.”[10][11]

Daniel Pfeiffer, former senior advisor to president Barack Obama, characterized the decision not to publish the story while at the same time publishing many articles that fueled the Hillary Clinton email controversy as a “black mark” in the newspaper’s history.[12] New York Times editor Dean Baquet dismissed the controversy, stating that the public editor article is a “bad column” that comes to a “fairly ridiculous conclusion.”[13]

Twitter leaders and Hillary singing together, “Would I Lie to You”?

Annie Lennox is going to get millions of dollars in royalties when the public looks up her song and it’s words.

Elon has turned into Alex Jones, they will say.

Joke post?
How many car companies and rocket companies has Alex Jones ever founded?
Is Durham also Alex Jones also for bringing charges against sleazy Clinton lawyer Sussmann?

Alex Jones seems to have been right about 90% of the time. I used to ignore the guy because of his style and seemingly outlandish claims. Then most of them were shown to be true.
