Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., will schedule a vote next week on legislation aimed at curbing domestic terrorism following last week's mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, that left 10 people dead, reports The Hill.
"I announced to our caucus at lunch that we are going to file cloture on the domestic terrorism bill next week. And we hope our Republican colleagues will understand how important this is given what's going on in the country with replacement theory, with so much bigoted, bigoted voices on all of our news media, and we hope they'll join us," Schumer said Wednesday.
"But we will have a vote next week on cloture next week on this bill," he added.
The bill, H.R. 350, would create dedicated domestic terrorism offices in the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice and the FBI.
"The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act is what Congress can do this week to try to prevent future Buffalo shootings — to prevent future California shootings, future El Paso shootings, future Charleston shootings, future Pittsburgh shootings, future Wisconsin shootings," said Rep. Brad Schneider, who introduced the measure in 2017. "We need to ensure that federal law enforcement has the resources they need to best preemptively identify and thwart extremist violence wherever the threat appears."

This is strange, the pulse night club shooter was reported, by a gun store owner, to the FBI. Crickets The Buffalo shooter had threatened to shoot people at his graduation ceremony, FBI investigated with out flagging him. The Texas church shooter had dishonorable discharge that wasn’t reported. How the hell will another government law and agency help?

and the "Secretary" for implementation - Homeland Security (who lies every day about the southern border crossings, and fails to perform his job according to his oasth of office)

How many would here would object if a kid had been red flagged over the incident that actually happened rather than the version first reported that was wrong (before he went on to become a mass shooter or if he had never done anything violent)?
Initial reports quoting an “anonymous source” said he had threatened to shoot up the high school graduation ceremony or related events. But that was in error.
What actually happened according to the official police spokesman was this: In answer to an economics class question asking what he planned to do after he retired, he typed “murder-suicide”. The school reported it, LE sent him to the hospital for a psych evaluation, he claimed he was only joking and being stupid, and that was the end of that. His grades were good and he had no record of violence or disruptive behavior.
Boys that age do goofy things, stupid things like that. It’s hard to tell at the time whether it’s a boy being goofy or a sign of a troubled mind. The psych evaluator sadly guessed wrong in this case.
This kid was apparently real slick when he wanted to be, a skilled manipulator and liar.
The New York State Police said they get hundreds of calls per year about such incidents.
This would formalize the contention that White people are a problem, solely by virtue of being White people, and that they therefor should be hunted and persecuted.

Most of these mass shootings could be prevented if people would get off their butts and do something before it is too late.
-Quite a lot of these people are known to be mentally unstable.
-Prior threats are often made, such as the Buffalo shooter making threats against a school.
-A lot of these people have backgrounds of violent behaviors.
-Social media often provides evidence that they are growing dangerous and unstable.
-More than a few of these guys are obvious psychopathic personalities.
No one seems to do anything, despite the clues. The “I didn’t think they were serious” excuse no longer cuts it.

So it’s ok when a minority shoots up a bunch of Asians. No plans to put a stop to that.
