Once had a conversation about abortion with a colleague in the faculty lounge at the NYC high school where I was teaching oh, so long ago. The lib teacher was growing increasingly animated as I presented my pro life views, raising his voice louder with each passing word. At the conclusion of our “talk” he said, “If you try to take my wife’s right to an abortion I’ll f*#!in’ kill you!” I responded with, “Why is it your side is always talking about death?”
BTW, the lounge was full at the time.
