Exactly. How often has there been a recall? Does the damage done in the past really warrant additional oversight which will slow down the manufacturing even more.

So…these folks think they can authorize, hire, train, and certify inspectors in less time that it will take to get the plant up and running?

Sounds more like the Democrats old trick of getting our taxpayer funding released by Congress so they can pilfer as much as they can.
Like a class-action lawsuit...$27,500,000 for the politicians to thank themselves and what’s left to actually throw at the problem.
It not money the manufacturer needs, it needs FDA permission to restart the production lines.

Of course most of the new staff will be useless thanks to Affirmative Action—no point in hiring qualified white people when there are quotas that must be filled.

Sorry, no. Testing does not inherently slow the spread of disease. ESPECIALLY when you have to be actively sick to test positive. Well, duh, I already know I am sick and likely by then, it’s too late to not spread it to others.
Testing just provides more opportunity for fear mongering and control by TPTB.
