Won’t wheat be fungible the way oil is?

What will they do with it, let it rot? No, they will sell to China and China won’t need to buy from us. The grain we would have sold to China will feed us and others. Yes, I can see this scenario.
The issue would be Africa and the Middle East, for starters. The Arab Spring apparently started over the high price of basic foodstuffs.
Wonder how South and Central America are set for grains?

They should be fine, most of their population has moved into the US since Biden took office.

You still need payments, ships, insurance, etc. in order to move the wheat from buyer to seller. Much of the trade is controlled by ADM, Bunge, Cargill, and Louis Dreyfus - all of which will comply with US sanctions on Russia.

What about zombies? An apocalypse without zombies is boring.

This conflict by itself should not have this disproportionate effect on the global food supply as they are claiming.
It’s ONE factor, but the perfect scapegoat for corrupt governments like ours who are contributing to this whole mess.
