Citing the vile online manifesto attributed to the Buffalo shooter, Gov. Hochul on Sunday urged social media companies to crack down on hate speech — calling the sites “instruments of evil.”
“I’m calling on the CEOs of all the social media platforms to examine their policies and to be able to look me in the eye and tell me that everything is being done that they can to make sure that this information is not spread,” she told CNN’s “State of the Union,” speaking a day after 18-year-old Payton Gendron, who is white, killed 10 in an attack targeting Black people.
“They have to identify when information like this — the second it hits the platform, it needs to be taken down, because this is spreading like wildfire. These theories that result in the radicalization of a young person sitting in their house is deeply scary, and it’s something that has to be dealt with,” added Hochul, a Democrat.
Prior to the attack, Gendron apparently posted a 180-page screed saying he chose the site of his attack because it had the largest Black community that was close to him. Among his racist ravings, he cited the so-called “replacement theory” popular on the far right. The doctrine holds that people of color are replacing whites, with help from elites.

This person is completely nuts, and advocating nothing less than the abolition of the freedom of speech, albeit electronically.

I saw a part of his streaming video.
He pulls in front of the grocery store. There is a car with a black fellow behind it with the trunk open. A Hispanic woman is walking next to the aforementioned car towards the shooter. The shooter steps out and shoots her in the forehead, she drops like a bag of potatoes. He then shoots the black gentleman behind the car then two women standing in front of the entry door. Fox said he shot three people outside, wrong, he shot four.
After he shot the two women near the front door he shoots numerous rounds through the window in the front of the store. Those rounds would have gone though a foyer area. He walks through the main doors in to the foyer area then through more doors in to the store. Two women are on the ground crawling away to his left after he walks though the second set of doors. He shoots the women closest to him as she is crawling away then shoots the second women next to her to her right. I can only assume that they were both hit by bullets going through the front window of the store because they had been obviously shot already.
After shooting the two women he steps past the two women then there is another woman to their left. This third woman is on her back, the top of her head if pointing towards the shooter. She is not moving. I’m not sure if she had been hit by the bullets that went through the front glass or if she is playing possum. She was a bit away from the second set of doors. He shoots her through the top of her head. Her hands were laying on her waist when you first see her and then when he shoots her in the head they fly up towards her chest. Brutal brutal brutal!
He steps past the woman he shoots in the tops of the head then goes around the corner to his right where a black man is pressed against the wall to the left, he shoots that man several several times and the man falls.
The video then pixelates then cuts to the shooter bearing his weapon down at a white guy on the floor next to one of the cash registers. The white guy is on the floor in a checkout lines. The white guys says something like “no” and raises his hands up in front of his face. The shooter does not shoot and says “Oh, sorry” then moves on towards the front of the store
Maybe the video I saw had been edited some but from the point he exits his car, shoots the first lady in the head then the man behind the car then walks in to the store and shotts the first two ladies then the third that was all on constant stream. At times the video pixelates.
Almost all the shots seemed to be where he is holding the rifle up near his head in a normal shooting stance but lower than shooting using the weapons sight in front of his eyes. Or, since he apparently had a helmet cam on it may just have appeared that way, that the rifle was a bit below his chin. No matter what he was putting rounds exactly where he wanted them to be. Very precise shooting, especially the first shot to the lady walking. He shot that one round and that was that then he moved on. It was very methodical and it seemed he knew the layout of the place.
After seeing the video my suggestion is to hang the shooter from the nearest tree. It was the most chickenshit thing I have ever seen.

Hmmm. So this nutjob’s real issue is with “the elites” that are trying make him obsolete and replace him, correct? Seems to me the white supremacists are shooting the wrong people.
If what they believe is true, then logic would dictate they target “the elites” behind the conspiracy. Get rid of them an the problem goes away.
I’m not suggesting or endorsing killing anybody. Just making an observation.

Why shoot innocent people? How stupid. If you’re upset with government policies to that extent, going to a grocery store and killing people who HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT IS UPSETTING YOU is completely nuts. This guy was a total psychopathic mental case who the authorities failed to lock up after the first warning they had about him. GOVERNMENT FAILED to do what it should have done the first time they heard about him.
Someone should ask Hochul why the known wolf wasn’t locked up?
Why doesn’t she just forbid sin while she is at it, because that is the problem. Unregenerated humans are inherently evil because of the sin nature.
If New Yorkers were allowed to legally carry, there could have been fewer casualties, plus the shooter would have probably been one of them.
