CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 30 people have been shot, five fatally, in weekend violence across Chicago, police said.
A 16-year-old boy was among two shot Sunday morning in Lawndale on the West Side. The boy and a 57-year-old man were standing on a sidewalk in the 700-block of South Albany Avenue about 2:30 a.m. when they were struck by gunfire, Chicago police said. The teen was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the right leg, police said. He was listed in serious condition, officials said. The man was shot in the right arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in fair condition, police said. No one was in custody.
A 13-year-old boy was shot Sunday morning in South Shore on the Far South Side. The teen was standing on a sidewalk with a group of people in the 7800-block of South Essex Avenue about 1:45 a.m. when someone opened fire, striking him in the buttocks, Chicago police said.
On Friday evening, a 16-year-old girl was shot in the head in Garfield Park. According to CPD, the girl was in a home about 6:50 p.m. in the 4300-block of West Adams Street when someone opened fire. She was transported to Mt. Sinai in critical condition, police said. A person of interest was being questioned by detectives.
Last weekend, 24 people were shot, six fatally.

This is what the Demoncrats ignore because they really want to disarm law abiding citizens and could care less about black on black murders every year just like BLM and most of the alleged civil rights leaders.

But seriously, these are probably all black victims too, but where is the press coverage, and cries of racism against city hall for not defending black lives, the calls for sensible (smh) gun control???

I know that 10? were murdered in Buffalo recently and that’s horrible, but these shootings go on week after week in Chicago. Actually, I think 5 being fatally shot is on the low end of the average for a Chicago weekend.
